I am confused a bit though, with your conditions they should attack when they are attacked. Have you lowered the chase range as well? If the chase range is high enough they will respond when they are attacked, and you can leave the sense range lower as you have it. I am just confused because your settings do essentially what you are asking.

Any time! Just keep a close eye as you're doing it and reload often so you catch anything quickly if one gets borked. Other than that happy to help and hope you enjoy. 🻠Happy holidays.

Well it has been several months but I just noticed this had not gotten a reply. This was resolved many months ago I hope haha but if you have any current issues please let us know! I check for new support tickets constantly but Discussions I generally get notifications for and try to check them as I get them. Apologies for the delayed response and hope all is running smoothly!

That's a good approach, somewhat like batching your work. You might come back to touch those later and realize that even though it feels almost overwhelming with how many files there are, once you start to get into a groove of customizing them it really doesn't take a lot amount of time. Especially when you are making really similar changes each time you might even just be simply copying a section of code and pasting it into each file.

Crate issue was stored in notes as was discussed and was addressed in a recent update after new plugins were finished being completed and released. Suggestion for extra parameters for BossMonster have been added to our notes.

He was working on a new plugin (technically 3 but 2 that were released) and nothing that gets brought up to me is hidden from him. This was addressed in the recent updates for PveMode and BossMonster. The notes I told you when we talked previously were used when he finished what he had to accomplish before that. Let us know if you have any further issues with this function of the plugins.

Commands that Allow Players to Spawn Specific Bosses Nearby?

I have added this to our notes. Thank you for the suggestion @Shark-A-Holic. I will add that you can currently do this, outside of the ability to spawn them near a player that is the only thing you cannot currently do. In order to issue commands you can use plugins that are able to run a command to do this, there are many options but even shop or store type plugins will generally allow to sell a command. Then the issue only becomes where the NPC would spawn but short term you could set a place for this and players would need to go there then pay and it will run the command. This is just a random idea though for how to issue commands for the player when it would otherwise be an admin command. The idea to spawn it near the player might be possible I will leave it to the developer to review the suggestion and decide or reply otherwise. Thank you again for sharing! -
Yes of course. In the data folder are the configurations for every set of NPCs. In these files you can change amounts, you can disable or enable certain files, and each preset can be changed by configuring their options to suit your server better. Unfortunately although this can be some work, it is difficult to create one difficulty level that works for everyone. It is more common that they are desired to be challenging so by default they are a bit more on the challenging side. But you can change their damage output, their range, and so many things in each preset. You have specific questions @Porky feel free to ask any. Take a look at the Description and the data/BetterNpc files to start getting an idea of things and let us know if we can assist. The one I will point out that is most confusing is that the aim cone will be made larger to be less accurate (larger cone of bullet spray means more misses) while reducing the aim cone makes them more accurate. Most other fields you can edit are easier to guess what the changes will do.

Good, thank you for checking again and glad to hear it's not consistently an issue for you. This makes it more likely to be a server side or client side issue. I don't recall any other complaints of performance drops but servers do need to be able to handle all the mods that get thrown at it. If anyone does have any consistent issues here though now would be a good time to bring it up. KpucTaJl just finished and released a new plugin not long ago and is already working through the notes I've been collecting for suggestions and feedback. The plugin runs smoothly. Any reproducible issues will always be sorted out as they arise. If there are any specific requests or suggestions though I created a channel that we use for me to help keep track of feedback requests and suggestions with links for his reference to help organize things.

The developer had responded that the help was accepted in Discord @boofhead187 perhaps you can jump in the Mad Mapper Discord and ask about it, KpucTaJl might still have record of what he referenced or otherwise is the greatest resource you can have to attempt custom changes to his plugins.

So that doesn't sound like an amount that would cause any issue. Which map is this happening on? Can you visit the area without the event active and see if it's still giving you frame drops there? Maybe it's a holiday themed map and has Christmas lights and such there, some of the Halloween and Christmas prefabs are resource heavy. Trying to think of possible causes. We will run some tests when we can on our end too to see if we notice anything.

Can you submit tickets in at least one of those plugins, create a new support request here on Codefling for one of those plugins or come to the Mad Mapper Discord to create a ticket. Let us know if you've upgraded to the most recent versions as well as some fixes have been coming out just recently that may address what you're talking about.

npc's wont spawn after plugin reload or server restart

Do you see those files in the data/BetterNpc/Custom folder @Arachnicution? I would recommend reloading the plugin and paying close attention to the loading messages. It will show you where the plugin stops loading or also point out some common errors as well such as a missing folder. -
It helps when there are more reports and more details in order to do something about anything. With that many details it could just as likely be a server or client side issue that's not an issue that can be resolved or changed. How many NPCs do you have active in the event? It is one of my only initial ideas to check into as a few updates back Facepunch made changes that caused each NPC to use more resources. There is not really enough information to say what we could do but we could at least run tests on our end as soon as we are able and see if we are seeing any similar results. If not then we would need to dig more into why it is happening for you and what the cause is before we could do anything.
