This can be easily done if your still looking to do this. I may be able to give you some tips or guide you in the correct direction as I have already done exactly this before just last month before the recent wipe I had a fully automatic train system. The train stopping at each monument that I had wanted it too. Also the driver is unable to be killed. So players cannot just kill the driver and prevent it from working properly.
