Have you by chance reached out to your host to see if they have any idea of what could be causing it?
Who are you hosted with?
Are you in the Mad Mapper Discord by chance?

my server has 64 Gigs of ram, yet i'm having 20 SFPS. Its the fault of FacePunch and their half broken game in combination of crappy support from EAC anti cheat. Trust me, Elsewhere ( cant say names cuz of NDA information ) is it a sh*tshow at the moment with EAC anti cheat. it toke us two weeks to find a single problem and we still have a huge list to go for. 

 

Its not the hosting fault nor the user/serverowner. Point the fingers and bullets to facepunch.

I totally respect and agree with a good amount of your opinion. I think too much is added and too little is optimized. The game has been improved but not optimized in my eyes.

But at the same time, I have seen hosts mishandle files or have poorly written applications and dashboards, I have seen server owner/admins, myself included, do all kinds of stuff, usually innocent or by trial and error. I've seen sever hosts withhold access to things or have a process that deletes or corrupts files on an unfortunately regular basis. Allow me to ask questions because with only the information that something is happening on the server, during the operation of this plugin, it is reasonable to question the server limits.

When the server hits its limit, NPCs and animals will become inactive or dormant, whatever word you want to use for it they will stop moving and if anything attack from where they are, but sometimes will stop all movement and action. Sometimes when asking a question nobody is assuming anything, pointing fingers, or firing bullets. They are just asking a question and if the answer is no then that option is ruled out and the solution can continue to be worked towards.

Indeed. Nexus and The industrial stuff is nice. awesome to see...... but not for community servers in my opinion. i mean, i can fully understand if someone wants to auto craft c4 while he is raiding on another server, but i dont see any benefits to have auto crafters or sorting systems on a community related server that already has a few super simple plugins to "auto sort" your items. It will only clutter up the server even more.

They are taking too much from other games. Even my own players are saying the same, its is not rust anymore as it used to be before. Since the announcement of the auto crafting system, people are more negative about it then ever.

My TCadmin 2.0 has indeed some issues. But, those are common issues as dayz has the same problems when using the TCadmin 2.0 ( a fix is not coming anytime soon, as there is drama in the forums there last time about rights and private lives problems ) I however dont know about other hosting platforms, but as far i know from where i haz mine, it has never been bad except for the past few months ( Technically seen, the drama started when the trains got released above grounds ) 

Its eating RAM like chocolate cookies. If you then also have other events that are "actively" patrolling on the map, yes... then you ending up without ram very quickly. Cant wait for multitreaded, its gonna be a game changer for the CPU.

Nexus I'm most interested in but that was something the modded community was trying to do that they said hey we are gonna do that, then it's been pretty quiet lately.

The Industrial stuff while it's cool, is way too much. I like things that have happened that balance the game and have sweaty players struggling a bit against average players where they didn't use to. But the recoil update was awesome, absolutely awesome. Most of this other shit I have no idea why it keeps getting added and why server owners end up tasked with several bug fixing updates at various intervals most months.

Yeah balancing events can be difficult for many owners for sure, there are quite a few that are better than just good, but trying to have all of them and keep them from all running at the same time is a must unless you want to wonder where your RAM has gone.

Haven't heard much about the multithread move but that would potentially be epic if they did!

Any chance of adding team cooldowns after killing a boss to prevent the team from killing every boss in quick succession? I thought PVE Mode would handle that but I was mistaken apparently.

Kicking around ideas for how to potentially implement this idea. Will be brought forward as a suggestion and considered for when the developer is doing updates to older plugins as opposed to working on new ones.

PVE mode was built more for the events originally but it was adapted to work for Bosses so that another team could not come up and do minimal damage to the boss but get the last shot and take the loot. It's a way to make that part of competing for a boss fair.  At the moment I don't have an idea for making that work but as I said we will consider it and see what we can come up with. Thank you for sharing the idea.

Great improvement. Thats what i am waiting for. Now we are able to use a Bossmonster in our own Events and custom PvE Environment. Trigger by NPC, trigger by other plugins, trigger by detailed sheduled execution......etc.

Can we get skills to target turrets Or true or false on taking damage from turrets. There are people Setting up auto turrets with Computer station and just killing them from 1000 M away...

What do you mean by skills to target turrets?

True false on taking damage can be done by other plugins that exist and are popular like TruePVE.

1000m?! Sheesh.

It's indeed a pitty situation. Same here, Players just build their shack, add turrets and go bonkers towards the bosses. For me, I have them roaming around.

 

@Jbird Would it be an idea to add the option that edam has with Convoy? If shot from xx meters away, it won't do any dmg.

There is already an ability to call a specific bot in.

Forwarded this to the developer as a suggestion though. Thank you for sharing!

I want to change the item loot dropped from the Boss, but when I replace the prefab data, the dropped loot doesn't change.

What loot option do you have selected?

If you have the time I would recommend coming to the Mad Mapper Discord and opening a ticket to be honest might be faster back and forth and easier to sort that otherwise.

Hello If im reading ths correctly. I can spawn NPC and Animals correct? But when im setting this up I do not see the bear i want to spawn and I do not see then npc

here are my settings for - Clown

    "Animal Ability Settings": {
      "Ability Cooldown Time (to disable the ability, set the value -1)": -1,
      "Type of animal (Wolf, Bear)": "Bear",
      "Number of animals": 2,
      "Despawn time animals": 0.1
    },
    "NPC Ability Settings": {
      "Ability Cooldown Time (to disable the ability, set the value -1)": -1,
      "NPC Settings": null,
      "Number of NPCs": 1,
      "Despawn time NPCs": 0.1

I dont see the Bear and I dont see the NPC. What am i missing?

The bear is a summon on the NPC, also  you have the despawn timer set to like 1 second.... so they are probably despawning as soon as they spawn

Yes you can combine boss abilities.

Cooldown is -1 for each and it says that will disable the ability, so they need a timer. Both are disabled above. I recommend a decent timer otherwise their appearance is somewhat pointless, they have to despawn though as well so maybe add 10-15 seconds or more to the "Ability Cooldown Time" and use "Despawn time NPCs" as where you want it to end.

Also as was pointed out, 0.1 seconds is very fast, so they don't get to do very much and might be a little too fast for the human eye haha. I would go more NPCs too!

"NPC Settings" needs not be null so let us know if you end up having issues that might be structure based like that and we can review it. I would come to the Mad Mapper Discord and create a ticket if you have further issues with it and want to get them sorted.

I'm having a strange issue now. My bosses are walking around not attacking my players. The bosses are able to use their special abilities but not attacking the players. I have players walking up to the boss and nothing. 

Anyone having this same issue?

Make sure you've updated both NpcSpawn and BossMonster. Both just received updates.

And you've reloaded both since updating?

Would you mind manually checking the versions? Some people are still downloading what they think is current and getting an older version from the site. It's a caching issue that had started happening earlier this month.
