Curation and Security Review
All files submitted to Codefling are subject to curation and will be reviewed against our marketplace standards. Some eligible creators may publish before that review is complete, as explained below.
Curators review submissions for security risks, functionality, and compliance with our Upload Guidelines. This includes checking for malware, harmful code, and other potential security issues, and assessing whether the file operates as described.
Review may identify issues that require clarification, supporting information, or changes from the creator. Approval reflects the review performed; it is not a guarantee that every defect or risk has been found.
Publishing Before Initial Approval
Established or trusted creators may be permitted to publish files before a curator completes the initial review. These files can be available for purchase or download while awaiting curation. Permission to publish early does not mean that a file has been reviewed or approved.
Creators with bypass access through Creator Pro remain subject to the same review and submission standards. Their files will still be reviewed. A subscription does not purchase a favorable review or exempt a submission from our rules.
Misuse of Creator Pro bypass access, including submitting low-quality or harmful content, will result in immediate termination of Creator Pro privileges and may lead to suspension or removal from the platform.
Understanding Review Status
A badge next to the download button indicates whether a file has been reviewed by a Codefling curator. Check this status before downloading, particularly when a file is newly published or available through the bypass process.
An unreviewed file has not yet completed curation. A reviewed file has undergone the applicable review, but that status does not guarantee that it is free from defects, secure in every environment, or suitable for your intended use.
Automated compilation or compatibility results are separate from curator review. A successful automated check does not, by itself, establish that a curator has approved the file or that it will run correctly with every server configuration.
Limits of Curation
No review process can reliably identify every vulnerability, logic error, performance problem, or compatibility issue. Problems may depend on specific settings, other installed files, server conditions, or behavior that only appears over time.
A review of one version does not guarantee the safety or behavior of later versions. Game updates, framework changes, dependencies, and external services can also affect a file after review.
Curation does not transfer responsibility for a file from its creator to Codefling. Creators remain responsible for accurate descriptions, lawful content, required disclosures, updates, and support under the Creator Terms and Upload Guidelines.
Before Installing or Updating Files
Review the description, requirements, dependencies, supported versions, license, and installation instructions before purchasing or downloading. Ask the creator if anything important to your setup is unclear.
Back up your server data and configuration before installing or updating content. Where practical, test changes in a separate environment before applying them to a live server. Review any permissions or credentials a file requires and provide only the access needed for its disclosed features.
Exercise additional care with files awaiting review. These precautions help reduce risk; they do not waive your refund rights or replace a creator’s obligations.
Curation Outcomes, Refunds, and Warnings
If review identifies a problem, Codefling may require corrections, restrict access, or suspend a listing while the issue is addressed. A file deemed unacceptable for the platform will be removed from the marketplace.
If a file is removed because it fails curation, customers who purchased it before curation will be issued a refund. This commitment applies even if the file was already downloaded.
If significant issues are found, users who downloaded the file will receive a notification or warning. Follow any instructions in that notice, such as stopping use, removing an affected version, or installing a corrected release.
A refund or removal from the marketplace does not automatically remove a file from your server or undo changes it has made. Other refund requests remain subject to our Refund Policy and applicable law.
Report Security or Functionality Issues
Report suspected harmful behavior, misleading descriptions, or curation concerns through our Help Center. Include the file link, version, relevant error messages, and steps that reproduce the problem where available. Codefling will investigate reports and take appropriate action.
Send security findings privately. Remove passwords, API keys, payment details, and personal information from logs or screenshots before sharing them. Avoid posting exploit instructions or sensitive evidence in public comments.
For ordinary installation or configuration help, use the support contact on the listing. If you suspect an active security issue, stop using the affected file where practical and secure any credentials or systems that may have been exposed.
Liability and Your Rights
To the extent permitted by law, Codefling does not guarantee that downloaded content will be free from defects, security risks, or operational problems, whether or not it has completed curation. Curation does not create an additional warranty of uninterrupted operation or compatibility with your particular setup.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses fraud or misleading representations, or removes mandatory consumer protections. It does not cancel the refund and notification commitments stated above, an existing buyer license, or rights provided by applicable Codefling policies and law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our review process or marketplace changes. Updates take effect when posted unless a later date is stated. Review this page periodically and check the status of files you plan to download.
Changes do not retroactively remove refund rights or other protections attached to an earlier purchase, or any rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
