Hi Chad,

Thanks for the info. I have an update more or less ready to push with some nice additional features.
I *think* that was a known issue that I resolved but I'll make sure before posting.

Thank you for this really very extensive and well-functioning plugin.

1.
Maybe it would be possible (or an option that not only interests me) if you put the titles the players can reach in brackets [1] [2] [3] and not combined within the brackets [1 2 3]. Personally, I think it's not so nice when titles are put together.

2.
Can you deactivate the fact that each title is automatically creating a group? I can't use it for my server and think its a bit annoying that various oxide groups have now been created without use.

Hi @Alter Ego

1: There's no automatic option for brackets per title but there's nothing to stop you including them in the titles in config.
It might take a few seconds to fill it out but I think that's OK.

2: The oxide groups are there so that server owners can use them for perks/privs.
PlayerRanks should be destroying all those groups when it unloads.
I don't think the plugin actually uses them for anything, though, so I can see about a config option to disable them.

to 1:

yes i know. i also use a size and color for them and its good. but actually the titles are shown like
[Heli-Hunter APC-Killer Handyman]
i would love to make them apply like [Heli-Hunter][APC-Killer][Handyman] but you can only edit a prefix and the end of the titles. probably a option to divide them would be fantastic. like    

"TitleDivider": "][",
or " - ", or "|"

would be a real good addition. but tbh i don´t know how hard it is to implement, but iu am pretty sure others also would like to make it more fancy 😄

to 2:

yes thats nice. i use playeradministration and adminmenu, and the UI is just filled up and the option to disable group creation would just be comfortable but its not really important.

@saintmichel13To be honest I avoided getting into specifics because I feel like requests would keep coming, once I start, and it'd get out of control fast.
That being said, TCs destroyed seems like a stat that might be worth having.

maybe it can be coded where we can just track a specific custom item.

anyway, what is the loot drop mechanics? I tried to see if it counts self thrown airdrop (grenade) vs admin called airdrop, its not counting.

found the issue. you should have gather turned on for airdrops to be counted. 😄

sorry one more, what about locked crates? 😄

I'm not sure I'm following.
DropsLooted should increase for any airdrop, no matter where it came from, but only the first person to loot it gets the point.

EDIT: i just checked locked crates (dropped by chinook and in oil rigs) is not tracked via airdrop counter

No, there's no support for locked crates.
My response above is about server airdrops/grenade called airdrops - There's no relationship to 'gather'...

Not sure what you meant by that but PlayerRanks records a +1 for the first person to loot any airdrop/supply crate.

There is a config option that allows you to exclude user-called (grenade) supply drops, if you'd like to.

 

Codelocked crates is something I plan to add soon.

They're added to a group, and removed from it, when they gain/lose a title.
That allows you to offer perks for title holders without having to monitor or maintain it,
but there is a stupid issue where groups are destroyed when the plugin is unloaded - I'll be changing that shortly.

i got another suggestion.

could you add a priority for the titles? cause some players get multiple top rankings and if its more then the allowed maximum for chat (3 in my case) some don´t apply.

for example: the rank for destroying is more worthy then any hunting titles and so on.

Adding and removing players to groups rapidly is really poor on performance. I've been using the plugin for a month now. With 70+ players watching the exceedingly relentless group swapping is melting server performance with a ryzen threadripper. 

 

I love the plugin, fantastic work but I suggest a better way of saving the database, and the group swapping issue. 

 

Mysql uploads cause the server to hiccup. 

 

I also suggest allowing Admins turn off the recording of certain metrics.

I'm going to guess there's a bug there because it's only meant to switch groups when you take/lose a title.
For that to be 'exceedingly relentless' there must be something wrong.

MySQL shouldn't cause hiccups, unless perhaps the table's been dropped and it's saving the whole lot.
Outside of that it only saves records which have changed and it does it in one query so it should be smooth.

Turning off gathering of stats is something I might add. Thanks for that.

well, the plugin causes a lot of lag when new players connect


Calling 'OnPlayerConnected' on 'PlayerRanks v2.1.1' took 1095ms

can someone help me to make it run smooth?

Very little happens in OnPlayerConnected.

Is that the only time warning you're seeing or are there others?
