Ok, thanks for the info.
As I say, I don't really know the plugin but if it's giving you options for Alphaloot and CustomLoot then, presumably, it must have a space somewhere for you to enter a loot profile name?

If that's the case then BetterNPC would make a call to CustomLoot (or Alphaloot) to get the correct custom loot for corpses, behind the scenes.
If the specified profile doesn't exist, CustomLoot is written to catch that, notify you, and create it for you.


If not, maybe DM BetterNPC author? - I'm willing to help, of course, but they'd be better positioned to advise.

Hey Steenamaroo,

I'm trying to change the loot of thes RHIBs that are patrolling the deep sea. They come with a cache full of loot but I can't figure out which container type it is. Is CustomLoot able to change that loot? I had no problem changing loot of other containers in the deep sea.

Hi,
I'll have to check that. Facepunch probably added a new type that isn't being automatically added by CustomLoot.

Another plugin has crate_rhib and "Patrol Boat Crate" but I can't find either one on a Prefab List.

Hi, I've just tested this and it works perfectly both for rhib.deepsea as well as for ptboat.deepsea. The only thing is that it won't update if a change is made while the boats were already spawned in (which really is not a big deal).

On another note, but maybe I missed something, I think they also changed the scientist type of the RHIBs and pt boats. The entities I get in console info are "scientistnpc_rhib" and "scientistnpc_ptboat". I'm pretty sure I got their loot succesfully changed in the past but their loot is vanilla again since (I think) this update. I can't seem to find the correct corpse type in CustomLoot for them.

I think that requires another update from me too.
Not sure what the story is there - The new scientists are a new type, presently incompatible with NPCKits/CustomLoot.
I'll have to dig in to that.

Thank you for testing the boats.
I'll add in on-load processing for them, to catch boats which are already spawned. 👍
