I think PermissionsManager needs updating. I tried giving default players permission for NTeleportation to set homes and tp home but its not working. I have to do every player individually and its frustrating.

the command to grant a default group of players permission to set and remove homes for example in RCON or console is: oxide.grant group default nteleportation.home

Thanks for the reply. It says default already has permission. If i click on group default the permissions are correct but if i click on a player they dont have the permission until i do them individually.

I might remove the plugin and config folder and re-install them and try again.

No that didn't work either. The group default has the permission yet noone has the permission unless i do them one at a time which is time consuming when there is a lot of players. I can't work it out

When you grant a permission to a group then check the perms for an individual player in that group,
you will see an 'inherited' button beside the permission, indicating that the player has it because they are in a group which has it.

The player may or may not have the permissions themselves - This is indicated by the granted/revoked buttons.

I laid it out like this because often it's important to know what permissions a player will/won't have once they are removed from a group.

In your case, if no 'inherited' button is showing, it sounds like the players aren't in the default group, or the permission has not been granted to the default group.

  1. /perms group default - Check that group has X permission
  2. /perms player <some player name> - Click 'groups' - check that this player is in the default group.
  3. Click 'back'. Check that player has 'inherited button' showing for X permission.

*Clicking 'inherited' will show you a list of groups from which the player is inheriting the permission, as there may be multiple.

I had a problem with permissions not being granted to groups too. My sollution was to copy my BetterChat data file, delete better chat, delete all oxide groups and crate them again, then add back BetterChat and replace the data file with the old one.

For some weird reason there was a problem with the groups i had.
Hope this can be helpfull

Thanks for that info.

Permissions Manager is just a UI front end for the existing console command system so it would make sense for issue to be underlying.

It does say inherited for the players but it's not actually giving them the permissions so I have to do it one by one.

Strange. Can't think of any reason that wouldn't be working.

I'll give it a check later when my server's up, to make sure nothing's changed.

i would delete all groups and try to make them again and see if that fixes the issue, thats what fixed mine

If any other plugin is loaded PermissionsManager will reload, to list perms for the new plugin, and, as such, your UI will be closed.

Maybe that's what's happening?

Scroll up and click download.

That'll give you the PermissionManager.cs file which goes in your server /plugins folder.

So, I don't know what is up with this but I had a strange episode with this plug. A guy showed up in my base and told me he has admin perms. I checked my logs and it had no settings of inheritance yet it showed on the GUI that he had admin perms. I quickly tried to change it through Oxide but gave me no perms set for that ID because well...lol I didn't set him for that priv.

Hi,

I'm not really sure what could cause that. PermissionsManager just queries the existing oxide permissions system and presents that information to you in UI, so it should be giving the same results as using the console show commands.

it might say inherited but to be sure click on corresponding "granted" tab, its better to be safe than have to listen to complaints all day

Is this plugin not compatible with steam public server lists?? I love this plugin, but it might be holding back my server from appearing public. Will this plugin be supported by the server list in the future?
