It is really odd that he doesn't retain the item.name. Would be simple enough to implement.

Epic Scrap is an excellent idea. I'm fiddling around with it now and have found a minor issue, which is probably caused by the way I've got the plugin setup. Sorry mate, I'm a pain in the arse.

I've got a bunch of sets disabled, such as transporter and use whitelisted items on all my active sets. If a player tries to apply Epic Scrap to an item, they get access to all sets, including the ones I've got disabled. If they try to apply it to a non-whitelisted item, they get a list of just the disabled sets.

And which set is supposed to have bulletproof in? I've not been able to find it and noticed it wasn't mentioned when I loaded the new version, unlike the new fishing bonus:

Bulletproof isn't attached to anything by default since it can be OP af in many situations. Add it to whatever set you want.

Sweet. That is a fair point on the power of the bonus, whichever set you add it to is quickly going to be the most popular. I may add it to one of the non-combat sets just to mess with my players.

Wasn't sure if this was worth a full support thread, but there's odd behaviour with tactical gloves. If you use the genitem command to create a random item, (both genitem and genitem <set name>) tactical gloves can be created. However, the command genitem tactical.gloves doesn't work, you get something random. You also can't enhance them with Epic Scrap, they aren't listed in the menu.

I would have thought that none of the genitem commands would have worked, since the item cannot be enhanced at the moment (oversight in the filter process).

Have refined the filter and will enable more items such as diving equipment etc to be enhanceable next update.

Does anyone know if it's possible to sell this in a player built vending machine to other players. I did try selling some trousers, but with the random names items have, it's obviously not recognised.

Rust's vending interface does not like items with different names. I plan on working on a new vending plugin to support the sale of custom items.

Hey @imthenewguy how's it going?

I have a plugin called Battlepass, and with this you complete missions and get points. With these points, you can open a reward crate and in this crate you can use a command. My command is currently set to "genitem s", however what happens is EpicLoot says "[Epic Loot] More than one player found: Player1,Player2,P3 etc etc etc.

What I'm wondering, is there a command that I'm missing here where it would basically be something like "genitem PlayerThatRunsCommand s". This would allow for me to add random class items to these reward crates.

Hey unfortunately there isn't really a way to tell if a players inventory is open or not (as far as I am aware), so there isn't a way to add the button upon opening the inventory.

Hey mate, when running the command via console, you need to have a target player to receive the item. When run via chat command (with perms), the item is given to the command user.

You would need the Battlepass plugin to substitute the userid of the player into a string value, allowing you to insert it into the command line.

I do this with VIP Token, so the command would be: "genitem {id} s". The {id} is replaced by the VIPTokens plugin with the consumers ID.

Hey @imthenewguy, thanks for getting back to me once again super fast!

Thank you for explaining what's going on and why it wasn't working. I tried adding the {id} into my command, but it was still a no-go.

With the help you've given me here, I've been able to open a support ticket with the maker over at the lone design discord. Now hopefully I'll get a yes or no from the maker of Battlepass whether he'll be able to do this and get everything working together.

Hey @imthenewguy, I'm really sorry to bother you again.

I have been unable to use the scrap to enhance my M39. I see in the config file that it's possible to find M39s' in the wild that are enhanced though.

For more information, the M39 is brand new and hasn't fired a shot so it's at a legitimate 100% health (if that makes a difference).

My players have also found that certain items do not count towards the set bonus trigger. I've seen where people have 4 items equipped, but you don't get the 4 piece set bonus. Do you have by any chance a sneaky idea as to what could cause this one? This isn't always for the same set bonus too.
EDIT: Just to let you know. We do get the % bonus for holding/equipping the items, it just doesn't trigger the set bonus.

EDIT#2: So I've just tested this further and currently I'm wearing 7 pieces and carrying 1 where all items have the builder perk. There is supposed to be a set bonus at 2, 4 & 6. The box to the left hand side shows this to be the case as well, but it's really strange. For 2 pieces we should get a 2.5% bonus, then for 4 and 6 we should get 5% for each. The total set bonus should be 12.5%, but we're only getting 5%. 

What I've seen is that for 2 pieces you get a set bonus of 2.5%, then at 4 pieces you get a set bonus of 2.5%. Nothing more is given for 6+ items.

I've attached an image of this, and attached my config just in-case it was me who screwed it up.

The M39 should be enhancable. See below pic.

Just make sure the M39 isn't stacked for whatever reason.

The health doesn't matter.

 

Set bonuses are only for equipped clothing. Weapons/tools must be held in order to contribute to the bonus, but they won't count towards the set bonuses at all, as this was too heavy on resources having to track all buffs on the fly, rather than when items are equipped.

 

Set bonuses are not cumulative, they are replaced. If you hit the 2 piece bonus, you get the bonus shown there, if you hit the 4 piece, you get the bonus shown there, not both.

If you want the set bonus to be 12.5% for 6 items, set the value in the config to reflect that 🙂

How strange. I did a little troubleshooting and found the issue. I use a plugin called craft menu by David and through that you can craft anything you like. I have it that you can craft a M39, and this is what you cannot enchant. I have no idea why you can't because if I give myself the item through the console, then that works just fine. It seems that anything made through this craft anything plugin cannot be enhanced. 

I have only tried it on a couple of items, but found the the M39 and M249 cannot be enhanced. I would assume that this is the case for the rest of the things you can craft via that menu.

Afternoon @imthenewguy, you're gonna hate me but I think some of my players have found another thing.

When wearing pieces of the medic outfit, this stops the bandage buff from your Skill Tree plugin from working. You don't get double healing from bandages unless you're wearing 6 pieces of the medics outfit.

PS: With it being super late for me last night, I never had a chance to let you know that changing the figures for set bonuses worked a treat. Rather than 2.5% 5% 5%, I went 4% 8% 12% and you get the set bonus as intended. Thank you mate, you saved the day again for me.

Evening @imthenewguy. We recently had this Plugin added to our PvE Server, and we are loving it! The one question I was having was the following:

Is it possible to upgrade existing pieces of EpicLoot? So if you get an Uncommon Raiders Jacket, if there a means by which to use EpicScrap to upgrade that to a Rare Raiders Jacket?

And if that feature doesn't exist currently, is that something being planned for?

Hi @imthenewguy, I understand that the items of various rarity are obtained via random drops, can I check if theres any way for players to upgrade/enhance items from one tier to the next? 

PS, I got no idea whats EpicScrap mentioned in the post above.

I recommend watching the second video on the front page. Not sure if I will introduce "upgrading" if EpicScrap exists, but there could be potential for it.

Hey we loved SkillTree and my co-owner just got EpicLoot!

We run a PVE server, with Zone Manager and TruePVE, which essentially stops all the pvp gigachads from killing our playerbase. However this comes with a problem with the Medics kit as it won't proc healshot. Presumably as the damage to be done would already be 0 at the point it triggers?

Any suggestions on a workaround?
