I just checked and all my files on the local test server have updated.

Do you see any errors in console when you reload CustomLoot?

revolver.hc and skidoo are in the first one I turned on. The other 2 were missing them.

The plugin only updates loot tables which mentioned in the /config/CustomLoot.json file.

I bet your files which aren't updated aren't actually in use.

This one updated.

    "supply_drop": {

These 2 did not.

Thanks for sending the file.

 

There is an issue with the file, and CustomLoot should be reporting this as the plugin loads.

Remove the stray comma at the end of the highlighted line, save the file, then reload CustomLoot. 👍

Actually, it looks like there's quite a few mistakes in that file.
You'd probably need to go through with a json validator to remove all the stray commas.

I guess someone went through this file deleting lines?
That shouldn't ever be necessary.

I'll DM back a fixed copy of the one file you sent.
You can use https://jsonlint.com to fix the other.

I want to use CustomLoot to add 1 custom item I have on my server to the NPC's at monuments
If I install this plugin, does that mean I need to configure the loot tables for all entities on the server?
Or can I keep all my entities vanilla, and only work on the loot profiles for the NPCs?

By default CustomLoot affects nothing at all, so you'd have to configure it to populate this crate or that npc.
That means, if you want, you could keep everything vanilla except specific crates/barrels/npc types that you choose.

Note, though, that you can't tell CustomLoot to only give one item without it giving that item all the time.
I.E. If CustomLoot is enabled for some particular container, it has to put something in there, and if you only have one item enabled it will always be that item.
If you want some degree or rarity for that item you would have to enable other items to balance it against.

A solution might be to just balance it against something low value like, for example, small quantities of wood.

Hi, quick question. If custom loot by default is based on vanilla loot tables, does it automatically add new items added into the game to the crate type? So update the vanilla loot tables after an update?

Hi,
It's not based on vanilla tables.
Any new loottable that it creates for you gives out nothing at all until you customise what you want from it.


However, the plugin does automatically update to include new items in your loot tables.
Any new items added to the game should appear in all of your loot tables.

Hello king, I was wondering if there's some sort GUI or website to setup the plugins loot tables. If not have you consider making such tool maybe even paid?

Also a suggestion:
I like that you can disable/enable vanilla Scrap it would be even more useful if there was a multiplier option for that.
With that you would not have to worry about scrap. In the loot tables. (except you choose to)

Hi,
There's no immediate plan for a UI but the idea of having a scrap multiplier is a good one and shouldn't be hard.
I'll make a note of that. 👍

Hello, issue with the scrap multiplier, if set it to 3x it gives me only 5. (expected: 6) other high values are also not consistent.
Example: 13x give 10 scrap
Tried it with loot-barrel-1
The vanilla scrap for barrels are 2

I don't think this is too imported to be a hassle but thanks, maybe I used it wrong?
