That's a lot of work so I'm not really expecting it XD.

it is amazing on how much damage you get from a  distant bot using a spas12 shotgun

There are still unfixed bugs in the Botrespawn plugin.

 

When I setting the clothes and weapons to the Bot with the Kit plugin, When a player dies by to that bot, the player death location and sleeping bag spawn are not displayed with an error. Please fix

Since i started using this plugin (since original release) i have never seen an option to show player death location (?) even if you use DeathNotes plugin it will only show <player> was killed by <?> with <weapon> it does not show location of kill ,

The bot gear and the fact that a player is killed by a bot has nothing to do with their respawn properties or their sleeping bags. You must have a completely different problem.

Hi folks,
@MadKingCraig- Accuracy should automatically decrease over distance.
It is hard coded, though...not user adjustable.
I get a lot of reports from server owners, originating from players, complaining that accuracy over distance is too strong but having tested extensively I think it's just that people report the 1 headshot from 300m, but don't report the 40 or 50 misses which also happened.

I'll give it a check to make sure nothing has changed or broken but, as it stands, I think their accuracy drops off quite a lot.

There is a global config option called Reduce_Damage_Over_Distance.
It is false by default.

Also shotguns are categorised as short range weapons and there is a global config option to Limit_ShortRange_Weapon_Use.
If you set that to true it forces npcs not to use pistols/shottys/bows over long ranges.
They'll either switch to a mid/long range weapon if they have one, or start running to get closer.

Hopefully those options help.

@Ram- That doesn't sound like a BotReSpawn issue, I'm afraid.
It's possible BotReSpawn is deleting/making null something which has a knock on effect for another plugin.
If that can be identified of course I'd be happy to do what I can to prevent it but, at the most basic level, that's not a BotReSpawn bug or error.

Is it possible to solve the fact that every time you change the map, you have to set the npc in the same place to the oilrig?

Hi,
I never added the Oilrigs as default monuments because they don't have the navmesh to support moving npcs from BotReSpawn.
Are you adding custom profiles for the Oilrigs?

Yes, and I use it with the STATIONARY option, it's just a bit annoying that you always have to reset the npc spawn points after wipe.

question was, can bots use molotovs?

yup i put melee weapon in belt as well and it worked

Hey Steen, 
I was wondering if there was any way for me to change the scientist name on the death screen ui. The custom names I gave them show up in the console but not on the death screen or their bodies when looting them. Is there any fix to this yet or am I just out of luck atm?

Hey Steen. We talked about this maybe a year ago, any chance we would be able to have profiles use permissions so players were friendly with some factions. Like permission group 'friendly' could walk around NPCs and they wouldn't attack unless attacked?

Other question is would it be possible to give NPCs godmode while in parachuting mode? Players are usually able to kill all the npcs before they reach the ground.

I'll see what I can do.

Protection whilst parachuting should be easy enough.
I'd like them to fire more whilst they're parachuting too - I'll look into both. 👍

They will shoot if shot at while parachuting, but I would love a massive aggro radius when falling.  Death from above!

Thanks so much! I know the perm thing is a niche request but I think it could be a big deal if it worked. Allow a faction system like Fallout or something.

The parachute thing would be great. My players tend to kill the scientists before they hit the ground so it ends up being a shooting gallery lol. Thanks as always man!

Good day to you,

Having a small issue with my Bots killing each other in crossfire.  I am using TruePve and thought to make an exception using scientistnpc_roam but they still kill each other.  Wondering if anyone has tried this and if they found a solution.  Could something like this be added as a config option perhaps?

I don't think I have any friendly fire protection right now, since the addition of the factions thing.
I'll take a look and see if I can suppress damage between friendlies. 👍

Hey! Sorry, I've been out of action for a little bit.
Just joined my test server today, though, and dead npc names are showing just fine in their corpse loot panel, and also in the loot panel when backpacks spawn.

On the player death screen it just shows "Killed by Scientist". I think that's always been the way.
Not 100% sure but I think that's done on the client and not something I can change.

On death notes chat announcement it will show name of bot such as "pookins was killed by Nasa Security to eat his brain" which is fun for the other players and gives some indication of where i was  🙂
