good day, if I'm not mistaken, then after the update I cannot grant myself permissions from plugins, when I click on Granted, some permission flickers, but permission is not issued, I tried it in different plugins, at the same time I have no problems with other players I can change them as before, thank you

Please also note that I’ve been using the plugin for almost 2 years, I’ve never had anything like this happen before..

after our migration to carbon we had an issue where every restart reset our perms to default. I'm sure that wasn't your plugins fault but in the search for a fix I ran across the /perms data command and saved groups and players in case we needed to restore after them reverting to default again. My question is under the save button there was a load button and I'm not sure how the load button works so I'm afraid to press it. We don't need to use it yet but we've changed some perms since that save but I was wondering if pressing it would just set the saved perms or show me another page where I could select which save to use (like if I had multiple saves.) Or does each save overwrite the last one and pressing that button just does it? Also with carbon should I turn off the native permissions module and just use this plugin or are they just 2 different interfaces to access the same data?

Hi,
You're right in that your rollbacks aren't going to be a PermissionsManager issue, as PermissionsManager doesn't work from its own data.
It's just a front end for the existing oxide system.
I can't speak for how Carbon's equivalent works but if there's any issue I know Raul will want to hear about it.

The load and save options in `/perms data` work from a single backup, stored either in local file (/server/oxide/data/PermissionsManager.json) or SQL, depending which you choose.
Choosing to load will pull the copy of the data from the last time you saved.

There's no facility for multiple copies, for dated backups, but if you need that you could save using the data menu then unload PermissionsManager and rename that data file (PermissionsManager0524.json, for example)

The plugin will always restore data from PermissionsManager.json, though, so keep that in mind.

Hey I need help, for whatever reason it removed my permissions. Are these saved somewhere where I could insert them again? Backup from server is available. I don't use MySql and the file is always empty in the Data/PermissionManager.

If you have a server backup file already, look in your /data/PermissionManager and see if you have the perms (or at least some) written already. Just copy/pasta it over. There has been way too many times where I've had to redo all my perms.

Worst case! You can always just redo them in-game with command /perms. The GUI makes it real simple

Hi,
PermissionsManager does offer a backup and restore option but, of course, that'll only work if you used the backup command in advance.
For normal use PermissionsManager doesn't rely on its own data record but, rather, oxide's permission system and storage.

On oxide servers they're stored in /server/data/oxide.users.data, as far as I know.
Maybe you deleted that by mistake?

If so you should be able to shut down the server and restore that file from backup.
oxide.groups.data is stored there too.
