no, since it already exists and is made by CHAOS, just put the button in another place...

It wasn't made by Chaos, and they work differently, but you do you if you can't wait for the developer too implement his fix

people have real life that comes first and the plugin has been great for years until facepunch made this change

Non è stato realizzato da Chaos e funzionano in modo diverso, ma lo fai se non puoi aspettare che anche lo sviluppatore implementi la sua soluzione

No!

Making plugins means that you are making a commitment, since you pay for them, so if it is paid for and it breaks, the developer has to fix it quickly, because if he charges for it it means that it is a sort of job. Otherwise if it would have been free I could have waited years.

While I do think that it sucks to see a plugin you paid for break over a Facepunch update, we all know as server owners that any plugin we buy could become unmaintained within days of the purchase.

It's impossible to support a plugin forever, and it's not fair of us to think that should be the case. Sometimes things happen outside of the control of the developer too. I've had plugins that broke the following wipe that couldn't be fixed because a developer has fallen ill, another time it was a broken computer, another time it was because their country had no power (not the same plugin).

Basically, we all know this can happen so we must all be prepared for it. It sucks, but that's how real life goes.

EDIT: Besides, a fix was shared days ago. This works great on my server while we wait for an update:

The fix is quick, as other similar plugins did too.

Plugin you mentioning is different, it has different method of accessing and closing ui but regardless what I said still stands, restoring original opening behaviour is not possible without oxide/carbon implementing new hook for it. Adding button on top of workbench is merely workaround which brings it's own issues.

We don't get to choose how and when facepunch implements new things. If you can't wait few days for fix then I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do for you, I'm not going to neglect my real life obligations.

I wasn't saying that you had to solve it within 1 day, but that the developer must solve it as quickly as possible, because I've had paid plugins that were fixed after months, and fortunately this isn't your case.
I bought the plugin on the CHAOS website and I wasted the whole morning recreating the items but I see that you have done an update, so don't worry about the wasted morning, now I'll put your plugin back in hoping that everything works,
Thanks for the fix

In my plugins I do the test 2 days before the update, when Oxide staging comes out, so they are already ready 2 days before the forcewd wipe with the changes made, but everyone has their own commitments, but if it's something paid for you just ask a little more attention, that's all.

The part that adds the red box to existing workbenches and removes it when unloading the plugin should be added

There is also the problem that the workbench cannot be collected unless you remove the red box first.

I can give you the code that inserts and removes the red box on all the Workbenches at startup and unload of the plugin and that the workbench can also be collected with the red box.
I already have the code ready

Again a fix that doesn't work, if you don't have permission to use the craft menu, for example if given only with the VIP, you'll still get the Red box, but you don't have the button to remove the workbench.. ..

Can I show you the modification I made that allows you to remove the workbench with the hammer? Without having to use buttons and various things, see if the change I made is ok and you can integrate it into the plugin. @David

if you ask me. those hacky "solutions" are just producing more issues than needed.

@David you should have gone with my proposal. Its easy, keeps the UX just on another prefab and is solid. There is no room for bugs etc.

The name of this is CraftMenu. Its not stating that you HAVE to have it on the workbench.

I sent him the version with my Fix and it is already working without problems on all my servers, it allows you to remove the workbench with the hammer and not have to use a "repair bench" that has nothing to do with the crafting....

I'm kindly asking you to stop it, I already responded to your DM and told you that I'm not going to put another monobehavior which includes fixed update, timers, input check and raycasting just so people can pick up workbench with hammer, I understand that button on workbench ui is not the ideal thing but at least it does not run checks in background 20 times per second every time someone pulls out hammer. Saying that it's fine on your server is not much of argument when you shipping plugin for dozen of server owners with different hardware, player count, plugins etc.

Hello, is it possible to hide the entire window section which has the big green buttons "OPEN TECH TREE -T1" (T2, T3)? These three huge green buttons are not working properly and I would rather have the extended list of blueprints there just how it was before the workbench update rather than use that entire precious space used up by the huge green rectangular buttons. Or please change the interface to have these buttons much smaller for example to the right of the "pick up workbench" button. All three of them can fit there.

No possible to edit those. That is native ui of workbench when opening it via inventory

the pick up button is a addition that David added to let players pick up there bench

Thank you for modifying the plugin and enabling this great plugin to be used again after the latest Facepunch changes!

@David -

Can you please upload the version with the button to pick up the workbench over on Lone Design? I commented over there, but it seems you check over here more frequently (I bought this over there).
