Anyone else having a problem with bots freezing, stuttering, and not responding as well after the latest update?  I dont know if this new update has overloaded my server CPU or what but we seem to have consistent problems with bots freezing

Bots are working as normal. still aggro , still chasing when attacked, still shooting when in range.

Same here.

Your CPU usage hits 130% to 140!?!? Did you accidentally put a 1 in front of those numbers?

I run a single rust instance on a Xeon 2286G, cpu usage usually hits around 130-140% (1.5 cores)

I would say overall I have about 250 bots on the entire map

I dont feel like this was a problem with the older version and I also dramatically reduced the number of NPCS from old version to now and still have players complaining a lot about stuttering and non attacking npcs (in between the extreme difficulty of long range aimbot npcs)

I use a hosted 50 slot low pop server with 16gb ram, i have 550+ daytime - 800+ nightime bots on a 4500 map , I dont have any problems with bots actions or behaviour with this version ,

It's a 6 core CPU with each reported as % so his system's pretty much idling.
Thanks though. 👍

Sounds like something's definitely going wrong, then. 250 isn't that much, compared to what I hear other people are doing.
Do you keep a clone for testing? If not, would you be prepared to set one up?

It might be revealing, having the freedom to unload/reload plugins at will, looking for performance differences.
Are you on the latest version from Codefling site? Don't just go by V number, as I've sent some people pre-release copies for quick-fixes of things in the past.
Eventual public release may well contain additional fixes.

Do you notice any patterns?
For example, are they fine upon reload but then gradually this problem emerges?
Does it affect all BotReSpawn nps equally, or just some?
Does it affect vanilla npcs, or npcs from other plugins?
Anything like that you can think of would be super helpful.

So that's all of the CPU's added together and not the average CPU usage?

Yeah,, multi-core is often reported that way.
Kevin's max should be 600% total, I believe.

Maybe that's a Linux thing? I've got a 12 core server and I'm sitting around 15% out of 100%

Depends what software is reporting usage, I suppose.

Linux cpu usage reporting is 100% per core.  So 6 cores/12threads can go up to 1200%.  Rust/unity can only use 2 cores so as long as it doesn't hit 200% its not maxed out.  2 cores maxed out of 12 would be 16% cpu usage of all cores combined

I'll try to do some extra testing.  I know the problem started when I updated this plugin.  I'll make sure I am on the latest (not pre-release) and also do some testing with the older version

Upon more investigation my vanilla npcs on oil rig and mil tunnels seem to have the same non responsive behavior so I'll get it cloned over to a test server and do some vigirous testing on my end as it could be caused by something else. Server FPS stays solid 40.  I'll hit you up on DMs if I find anything out related to botrespawn

I just want each bot to drop 1 blood bag. Cannot seem to find how to edit the default npc kit. I want 1 blood bag per dead bot so I can use as currency. Please tell me how to add this.

Yeah, this ^.
You can just put 1 blood in the container main of the kit you're giving the npc.
You can use CustomLoot to do this, but it's way more complicated and not worth it for one item.
