Petition to call this botspawn 2.0 and change the command to /botspawn.  The extra 2 letters arent necessary lol

botspawn 2.0 has been and gone 😄

2.0 was like feb 2020

3.0 then lol.  Point is the extra lengthy command is just to make it seem like its "new" for no reason at all. We know its botspawn with a little extra rework.  I suppose I can just edit the cs file myself for a quick fix

I'm not being facetious but while you're in, compare old to new.
It's a rewrite.

This frequently causes players to be kicked for packet flooding. I know its an issue with another plugin and therefore difficult to dignose but since the NRE appears to be coming from BotReSpawn I thought you might have a closer idea of what the issue might be and how to fix it.

I've been working on this tonight @Baron Von Finchus Think I've solved it.
Thanks for reporting it to me.

 would venture to guess that this will be for future updates and variations .

It's hard to read all this and not feel torn as I agree w/all of it. I'll start by saying thanks Steen for having made it available, to us all, free of charge for so long w/support. This has obviously impacted so many of us and while some may have difficulty expressing how disappointing this is w/out resorting to something cringe-worthy...if I'm being honest i do feel somewhat let down. At the very least BotReSpawn could be $20 initially with the additional costs paid when these "new/upcoming features" become available and are stably released. I'd be willing to bet that approach would calm much of the grumbling.

You would still get the same grumbling, and even more when (with your scenario) further payments would be requested for the updates, all you would hear is "but i already paid (the huge amount of $20) and now you want more !! ,  😭

realistically $40 (converts to $A60) is roughly the cost of a

* night at the movies with popcorn for 2,

* 40 cigarettes

* tank of petrol

* a modest lunch at the club or pub

* by the sounds of it 6 months pocket money for the whiners,

The addition of UI was fresh. But moving the numbers from 1-100 in units of 1 takes too much time. (As all plugins have in common, the UI is not very responsive, which makes it more time consuming.)

How about having the number change by 10 in the UI? Most people will use 10 units. (For example, 50, 70, 30, etc.) If you want to change 1 unit, it is better to edit the JSON.

A few people have mentioned setting very high numbers and wanting bigger increments.

Thanks for bringing it up - I might place 5/10/50/100 buttons to let users choose their increment on the fly!

This frequently causes players to be kicked for packet flooding. I know its an issue with another plugin and therefore difficult to dignose but since the NRE appears to be coming from BotReSpawn I thought you might have a closer idea of what the issue might be and how to fix it.

is the update released yet for this error? getting the same spamming on my server, thank you.

The addition of UI was fresh. But moving the numbers from 1-100 in units of 1 takes too much time. (As all plugins have in common, the UI is not very responsive, which makes it more time consuming.)

How about having the number change by 10 in the UI? Most people will use 10 units. (For example, 50, 70, 30, etc.) If you want to change 1 unit, it is better to edit the JSON.

what i normally do is setup a profile close to how i want it, then do a search/replace i notepad++ of the .json file. i can fly around the map, set monument spawns, then edit one profile and copy it, making sure to not change the location coordinates. if i decide to raise/lower something, i can search and replace every profile together or one at a time, WAY better than through the plugin UI in almost every instance, not just BotReSpawn UI.

That's a good approach. Thanks for that.
I think I'm going to make the increment adjust dynamically,
for example if the value is 80 and click up, it goes up 10,
but if the value's over, say, 300, maybe it goes up in 50s,
and up in hundreds if it's over 500.

That, along with an option to create a new profile by cloning an existing one, should help to keep a lot of people in the UI.

 would venture to guess that this will be for future updates and variations .

* 40 cigarettes

* tank of petrol

* a modest lunch at the club or pub

* by the sounds of it 6 months pocket money for the whiners,

w/out resorting to something cringe-worthy...

Be honest it's about time, this plugin should have never been free, it's such a good plugin and the developer is always keeping it updated ! I could never understand why it was free, i guess because it started  out on Umod, anyways i support this 100% thanks Steenamaroo! He's been giving this plugin away for years don't complain!

be honest it's not about him charging it's about him dropping it on us with no warning

Are we still talking about this?

Can we please just have the old command system back?  The extra keybind is better and a step closer but still a downgrade.  /botspawn edit "monumentname" should do the same exact thing as going to the monument, typing /botrespawn, and clicking thru a bunch of UI interfaces to finally come to a button that says "add by command".  Like I get it that it makes it easier for novice users but what is the harm of a simple command to come to the same result like the old botspawn?  Certainly a botspawn edit command can replicate the GUI and let advanced users get this shit done faster and easier with commands.  The show command also as going to GUI again is so many extra steps compared to typing a command.  Please give us command/gui options and not force only gui.

Maybe there could be a way to resume at the last GUI interface that we were last on if we closed it instead of having to start from the beginning of the UI again?  Idk if that would be better or worse but I'm usually working on 1 monument at a time so if the GUI opened back up to where it last was I feel like I wouldn't have to do all these unnecessary extra clicks for something that took 1 command before, like showing all the spawnpoints with /botspawn show <duration>.  Speaking of duration can we add that back also?  I like to analyze the spots for more than the 30 seconds it shows and I have to go back in the GUI multiple times.  Before I could set it to 120 seconds and analyze it better.

Hi Kevin,
Ok, that makes sense.
I could make it a button that says Edit/Stop Editing, and if you're in Edit the UI automatically opens at the profile in question.
Seems like that should be good?

Yes, I can put in an option for show duration - Thanks for that suggestion.

Thank you I think that would be swell.  Everything would feel at ease of use again at that point.  I do like the config options in the GUI which makes that angle much easier.  I know I have voiced frustration, but I appreciate your work greatly.  It has been a rough week for all pve admins and you have done the best you can under the circumstances.  Look forward to the future of the plugin.

It's all good man - This has definitely been a tough wipe for a lot of reasons, and there were many valid frustrations regarding BotReSpawn.
I'm grateful for the amount of suggestions and reports, helping to improve it for everyone.

One more suggestion, can we change BotHealth from increments of 20 to 10?  I like to set them at 150 and it would make it easier so I dont have to edit config file.

Would it possible to make the number editable from the UI? Click on it, type a number?
