really interesting plugin! I like it!

 

   Couple suggestions:

  1. Return to hub should raise the drone to a high enough altitude prior to pathing.
    • Drone seems to get stuck and fail if you're standing next to something like a wall or large cliff.  If it climbs first to an appropriate altitude and then starts to path to the hub, it would have a better chance of finding its way back vs getting stuck on something
  2. Speed back to hub should be increased (1x - 3x)
    • it takes forever for the drone to make it back to the hub on a large map. If you play on a large map you find yourself waiting/checking the map wondering if it will arrive safely
  3. The same return logic should be applied  when calling the drone from the hub
    • I'm not always going to leave my base with my drone but may decide i want it  later.
    • Speed should be increased until it his the max player distance threshold found in the config.  The length of time it takes for the drone to arrive on a large map is very long.
      • I resolved this somewhat by tweaking the distance/speed threshold in the config but still seems a but gimmicky
    • possible bug:  I'm finding the drone seems to just disappear sometimes when it I call it from the hub from a very long distance.   The icon on the map shows it close to me but nowhere to be found.
  4. Reduce drone noise
    • you may not be able to do anything about this but the standard drone noise is very loud, so loud that is drowns out all other game noises.
      • I helped this by raising the height above player to 25 and expanding the turret attack range but feels like a Band-Aid fix. 
  5. Vendor
    • Not sure why by my vendor was replaced with a pookie and doesn't appear to work.   For my use case it's not a big deal and I put the drones in the /shop but would be nice for the vendor options to be working.

 

Overall a really neat and exciting plugin. Really looking forward to future updates and your continued development!

Would it be a possibility to add a feature to the drone panel that allows your players to instruct the drone to fly at the same height as yourself, making it easier to navigate through tunnel systems?
Could it be possible to add a feature to display one's platform on the map as well? I have encountered several players who have lost the location of their platform, and they are unable to locate it or set a new one. Alternatively, could a command be implemented to allow them to destroy their own platform?

Yes, I think this is a great idea!
I'm thinking of making the hub display on the map with the ability to customize the color in the configuration and size, yes - I think that would be damn cool!

I think it would also be interesting to add a command for the player to destroy the drone if he suddenly decides to get rid of it from a distance

Hello!

The drone could not be supplemented with an option to have a searchlight on it that could give more light at night.

Love the plugin. I am having an issue where the hud for the remote on the right side of the player is not visible after the latest update. I am not sure it is me or not doing something or not. The map also shows a very large red marker and is calling it a market drone. What am I doing wrong. It worked at first and now I cant get it to work. Also  I am selling in tebex store as a VIP item and my players are not getting it right away. How do I get the drone and hub and reciever to them. I as admin am alble to in chat do the /drone and /hub and get the item instanly in my belt. How do I do this for my players.

Check if you have all the pictures loaded into the folder with them?
Are you getting errors in the console?

Regarding issuance through the store, you can use the commands in the plugin

iqgd drone [Steam64ID] - give a player a drone
iqgd hub [Steam64ID] - give a player a hub
iqgd rfdetonator [Steam64ID] - give a player a drone control remote


Regarding the name on the map - this is due to the game update

I really like the plugin. I, with your help was able to get it loaded into my server. I made it a vip item and this works well. The problem is the drone will loose connection with the hub and disappear from the map. The player will have a weapon and ammo in the drone and than the player will loose everything including the drone. They report a bit buggy. There is no way to find the drone  Anyway to put a homing device on it or show on the rf readout where it is located so the player can retrieve it.? Some method to find it.

Is there anyway to pickup the hub? Says to remove the floor but it doesnt drop a hub, and the remover tool /remove doesnt work with it either. Is this normal behavior?

Hello, it is impossible to raise the hub - you can only destroy it or the ceiling on which it is located, this is normal behavior - this is what was planned when creating the plugin 🙂

This is a bad update of Oxide..They broke the hooks unsubscribe, so you get this error - you have to wait for Oxide to release a fix

So, I contacted the developers of Oxide and found out all the details, it was a planned update and they changed the logic, tomorrow I will release a corrective plugin update to fix the logic due to Oxide

Hi I bought the plugin because it was written in the description that the NPCs also attack the drone. I installed the Targetable Drones plugin and it does not work. I am using BetterNpc and the NPCs are not attacking the drone. So I can't use my PVE server.   The normal NPCs only attack the normal drone, but only when drone is down and out of contact.

Hi, the developer of TargetableDrones made a small mistake in his plugin, I will contact him today. Install this version (I have madTargetableDrones.cse corrections to it)
