Hello,

I’m interested in your Admin Warn plugin and I have a question about how the warning GUI behaves in practical situations.

Specifically:

If a player is currently in combat (for example fighting a raid, PvP, in combat state, etc.), will the warning message still appear on their screen immediately, or does it wait until they are out of action? I need to make sure that the warning GUI does not interrupt or interfere with active gameplay during critical moments like combat or raiding.

Could you please confirm how it behaves in those cases?

Hello, currently the plugin does not have a feature to detect situations like PvP. I’m not sure if we can add this in the future, I’ll need to look into it.

I understand, and I appreciate the explanation. In my opinion, this would be a very useful feature. If it ever becomes possible, please don’t hesitate to get back to me — I would purchase the plugin immediately if this functionality is added.

Thanks for checking back in, I really appreciate your interest

I did take some time to look into this, but adding things like PvP detection or similar checks could cause problems right now, so the plugin needs to stay as it is for the moment.

By design, this plugin is meant to send clear and serious warnings directly to individual players. Because of that, I don’t really consider whether the player is in PvP or doing something else. I actually use it on my own servers, and I find it very effective for addressing real violations like solo rule breaks or serious abuse, where a direct and personal warning makes sense.

What you’re describing sounds more like a lightweight pop-up style notification, maybe something that appears in the top-right corner of the screen. A plugin built specifically for that purpose would probably suit your needs better.

A new feature has been added for this. For those who don’t want to disrupt the PvP experience, a 10-second top-screen notification option has been introduced via /warnpopup -  /warnpopupall .
