This permission hides the player on the admin map, if you give this permission to everyone then yes, they will not be visible

There are only a few in the configuration because there are reasons for that, you can't use any button you want, I've been written about it here before

For some reason you can't select a marker directly on the map, but you can click on the cross next to the nickname on the top left when capturing a player within the green area on the map, it will have the same effect. I think the reason is due to a change in prioritization on the client side map and I probably won't be able to fix it, but the ability to use the map is still there

I've checked and can teleport to anyone except players who haven't logged in this wipe. The menu doesn't freeze, maybe you're just trying to teleport to a player that doesn't exist

I know exactly what you can add and I'm 100% sure you're adding it wrong, so I want you to state exactly how you're adding it so I can point out your mistake. But I can try to point it out in advance, the most common mistake is specifying the wrong short name, you have a separate specially created new short name, that's what you should use.
