    It could always be hidden using the /amap off command, and you can also specify it in the config so that it does not exist by default and is called using the /amap command

    For some reason you can't select a marker directly on the map, but you can click on the cross next to the nickname on the top left when capturing a player within the green area on the map, it will have the same effect. I think the reason is due to a change in prioritization on the client side map and I probably won't be able to fix it, but the ability to use the map is still there
