I sometimes hide my support requests because I upload videos to YouTube for the developer to see the issue through sight, rather than than from my crappy descriptive skills. My YouTube channel is personal and I don't want others seeing this. I get your point though.

Yes, every review is subjected to a review process. I have written several negative 1-3* reviews that have been published. Truthfully, Death has no reason to lie about this in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that the way things work is that if a review is only given the greenlight today, but was written 2 days ago, it will show as today for the timestamp, not the day it was written. So those 5* reviews could have easily been from a couple days ago.

That's a commission, that's different in my opinion. I think paying for features isn't the same as a developer asking someone to pay them directly for the bog standard plugin available here.
-
I second the part where you mention some developers can ask for a direct payment, I've seen that many times - and it's been suggested to me personally a couple. I always politely decline of course, but it's probably a good thing you mentioning this. Then again, customer choice is also a good thing too I suppose?

Couldn't agree more.

Ahh I see! I suppose developers would have to stop giving out keys here on CF to plugins etc. bought on other sites if things can't be changed. Yeah, you've got a decent suggestion from the sounds of things!

A workaround for this could be limiting reviews only to those people who have the licence on their account here on Codefling (I think it's like that already).

"Explosive Config (key value is explosive prefab shortname, see website for more info)": { "explosive.timed.deployed": { "Damage Dealt": 60, "Resource Multiplier": 9 }, "ammo.rocket.basic": { "Damage Dealt": 40, "Resource Multiplier": 6 }, "rocket_hv": { "Damage Dealt": 30, "Resource Multiplier": 5 }, "ammo.rifle.explosive": { "Damage Dealt": 10, "Resource Multiplier": 1 }, "explosive.satchel": { "Damage Dealt": 30, "Resource Multiplier": 2 }, "grenade.f1": { "Damage Dealt": 15, "Resource Multiplier": 1 }, "grenade.beancan": { "Damage Dealt": 10, "Resource Multiplier": 1 } }, Do we know if I've done this explosive stuff right? Only explosive ammo works, and 1 shot is set to have a multiplier of 1. To get 2658 sulphur from 1 shot, when the config is set to give 100 seems wrong somehow.

1: The market will sort this out. If the price is too steep, people will not buy. 3: Developers can already take their plugin off-sale and prevent new people from downloading it. 4: There's already a way for people to stick their PayPal donate button on the sales page.

I'm finally moving to the 2.0 version because the 1.3.7 version finally stopped working. I'm stumped with the config at the explosive section for big meteors. It says on the description page "Explosive Config The key value - shortname of the damage entity, it's not an item shortname, it's an 3D model that's visible in-game. For explosive ammo use ammo.rifle.explosive." Does that mean all I need to do is add "explosive.timed.deployed, rocket_hv, explosive.satchel" etc, or would it be like the last config where you can add how much damage it does along with the resource multiplier. I only ask because it would be quite silly that using a C4 would offer the same output as using a beancan. EDIT: Scrolling down the config I can see other sections that are filled with the resource multiplier and damage. Got myself confused there for a moment. Usually when working on a config, I start at the top and work my way down. I should have hopped down a few sections to answer this one haha!

I would make sure that you use the codefling DM system to make deals like this. That way, no amount of photoshop could be used to fake a deal.
-
Oh you mean 2 developers could trade an item between each other? Developers can already give a licence to whoever they want. If a developer gave a licence to another person on this platform with the expectation of getting one in return, then that's an easy fix with a support ticket to Codefling staff. If there's proof through DM's etc, that that was the agreement - CF surely would be able to step in to get that resolved.
-
All you said was: "Option to trade products: two members could trade their products from their uploads safely, scam-free" This still would cause a boat load of piracy. my next comment still stands. "Exactly. You would still have the .cs file on your computer, Codefling can't take that from your storage. All it would mean is that you'd have an outdated version of the plugin that you traded, while adding to the collection. Trading licences is a very bad idea in my opinion." What would your solution to this fraud and piracy be?

A common sense prompt. I love it!

From the sounds of it, it looks like they're suggesting the possibility for me to trade a licence to you. I guess it'd be something like: - I don't like/use a plugin that I bought, - I sell/give the licence to you. Unfortunately, there's too many people in my opinion who'd take advantage of this. Pirating would go through the roof. EDIT: Besides, don't licences state somewhere that you agree they're non-transferrable? Or at least the terms of use here on CF?

I've wrote several negative reviews. None were hidden at all. The only reason a review is hidden is if it contains information not relevant, or you haven't taken the steps needed to fix the problem.

I'd love the ability to search for words in discussions. There's some plugins that have 20+ pages under the discussion tab, and I sometimes need to find either someone asking a question or giving an answer to the problem. Being able to search for a word would really help me not ask the community duplicate questions, and if the answer is already there I wouldn't need to ask the question.
