would it be possible to spawn game loot chests with the normal loot in them rather than having a chest with custom loot?

yes ,you just need to put normal rust container/prefab in config 

Main question is where do I find the maps? do i need to add them to this loot table

You can chose in what loot container will maps spaw ,and what chance is to spawn them in container ...
You can add more containers for each map .

Found a problem, when this plugin is installed players barrels brake when they take stuff out and the industrial craft system breaks playes DLC barrels. im gonna try changing the container

Suggestions:
Spawn Distance - So that they don't all spawn like 3 ft away from you
Change of marker style or label on marker - so other players don't waste time battling and traveling to a locked container or just show only to the team
Unlock time - The crate becomes unlocked after x amount of time for all players to try and get
Max Openable - I opened multiple maps at once is there a way to limit it to like max 5 maps open?

Change in Gold Map "SpawnedPrefabChest" : assets/prefabs/misc/decor_dlc/storagebarrel/storage_barrel_c.prefab
to something else. ... That container is bugged for now !

would it also be possible to add a option that the chest does not aspawn under water? or to kill the npcs if it does?

I wanted to chest spawn under water ,so players need to dive  ...
About Npc i will update that .

This is good, but give the option to NOT spawn in water. Otherwise looks like a good plugin to have , and nice to customize spawns/chests

Also i see in pictures that a box appears on the map, does it show only for the player opening the map, or shows for everyone?

Only players who open map can see icon on map ... Water Bots will be fixed 

I really like the plugin and this isn't a complaint but we have been having the chest sometimes spawn sticking out of rocks or under the rocks. This doesn't happen all the time but often enough I thought you should know.

looks like a fun challenge

it's not that bad really, it's a great plugin

Hey ,you mean on new map items ?
You can fully change them ,names ,image of item(skin) . And you can add more map items !

there a way to block certain topography where they cant spawn ta such as 
Mountain, Cliff, monument so they only spawn in like Field / Mainland / Swamp and such?

i notice sometimes these spawn on top of mountains or high cliffs.

question 2: does this allow the NPCs to be skinned with  a kit or skinned items of choice?

Great plugin. Works great once we adjusted the configs and added custom loot. One comment was the NPC's are pretty static. Any chance for an update to have configs for roam range, aggro range, weapon selection, and an option to work with kits? Great plugin and keep up the great work!

is there a way to combine the treasure maps with Treasure Chest plugin?

lik so if they do a map it opens the treasue box?

For now no ... you can only put "chests" in treasure box .
