This plugin simply just showing time difference between two timestamps, it can be done when I have some spare time which is bit unlikely atm 😅

Can it call server datetime and deduct time between current and wipe date?

Also wondering this ^ I cannot seem to set the wipe timer, it always defaults to 1 week.

I just got this plugin and I was able to set it, however I noticed I had to go into the data file and remove the timer that was in there. Then reload the plugin so it would pull my actual timer from the config file and then start from there. But after that it did work correctly.

If you want change timer, open config and put in length of the wipe in seconds. Then reload plugin and type countdown_reset  into console.

Can you make the  "Countdown (seconds)": 604800.0,  to a date instead like below

    "WipeDate": "12/25/2021",
    "WipeTime": "19:00",

Sorry but no, you would have to change date every wipe unless I make complex wipe calendar from it which I don't want to do.

I personally like that decision as I use this for Event countdowns.

Isn't it better to do something like "7d5h30m10"?
or

{
  days: 7,
  hours: 5,
  minutes: 30,
  secound: 0
}

then take the seconds out of those numbers.
Of course I can do it for myself. But I always prefer to make such corrections for a larger audience.

To be honest I personally don't see point in changing it since you can simply type "seconds to days" into google and get your result 😄 although I'm not against you contributing so feel free to message me on discord if you want.

It would be nice if the hours, minutes, and seconds could support other languages 😄

I am midway through a wipe and trying to configure my welcome panel UI. It would be nice to have tools to count down time left on a schedule instead a static amount of seconds. This also seems odd to me because making changes mid cycle will always throw the counter off, and a lot of server admins make changes to try and experiment with what works. Maybe I am misunderstanding, but for a monthly forced wipe, the time will also never be correct. How can we use this for a monthly forced wipe schedule?

@ALANMAN the wipe counter dosent reset unless your changing the map... You can make changes over and over to the welcome panel and the timer will still work correctly.

@Razor14150What I am referencing is time until wipe. How do I set this in the middle of the wipe to a specific amount, without it being incorrect after wipe? Seems pretty confusing to configure mid wipe if my server wipes are based on a scheduled day. And that also doesn't take into account varying month lengths for forced wipes.

@ALANMAN
1. Use this site to calculate countdown in seconds:
https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html

2. Edit WipeCountdown.json, change the number of seconds, and save it.

3. Issue console command 'o.reload WipeCountdown'

4. Issue console command 'countdown_reset'

Its because there is different methods used to broadcast message for all players and send reply to just one player but I will have a look if I can use something else for replying to player.

Also next thing that would solve most of the problems here and would make it even better would be a chat command to set next wipe date with a specific hour in day, then the plugin itself would count how much is it till that date and would start counting off.

Seeing the requests for specified hour/day - Wouldn't it just be more confusing like this?? There's your region zone time, then there's the server's/host's set time - and then there's the Dev's zone time... I don't see how the result wouldn't be completely wonky. Seconds work perfectly fine to me when thought about the conundrum of understanding the time differences..
