Hi there, 
My other half solarix just purchased this plugin yesterday and installed this within our server we had players coming up to us asking if there could be more professions added, such as Mercenary: Killing scientists, murderers aka (zombies) and scarecrows. The Farmer: for crops, feeding horses, horseback riding. Pilot: for players who enjoy being a taxi with a helicopter.  Mariner: for those whom enjoy being a taxi with a boat, or submarine. Chef:  to go with your other plugin cooking.

Farmer was originally included on my server but it was incredibly hard to balance due to scaling. I like the idea of killing scientists/murderers etc and having a unique item added to their drop table for the killer. Might look at both down the track.

My server is running Z-Levels now..Can Professions plugin take Z-Levels place? Meaning can I remove Z-levels and run this plugin?

We have Z-levels on our server as well and have found that the professions plugin and z levels can stack on top of each other for the amount of resources gained, our z-levels is set to be at 3x on final level, with professions and z-levels our players will end up getting 5x the amount of resources at max level of both professions and z-levels. 

I would say it is entirely based on what you have your z-levels set to for maximum level and what you have your professions level set to. 

Our z-level max level is 100 for woodcutting, mining, skinning and our professions max level is also 100. 

The amount of resources increased per level within our z-levels is 2% per level same with the professions plugin. 

you could turn off woodcutting, mining and skinning in z-levels, but if you're players are using aquire and crafting then no I would not remove z-levels as the professions plugin does not use those.

You should be able to create a new lang file for the desired language.

Open the Professions.json file in oxide\lang\en\ and save a new copy of it under a different language folder (instead of en, save it under ru etc). Translate the messages for each depending on the language.

I'm wondering if instead of using your built in resource market, players could sell their crafts on a different platform. Say for example, this:

 

In my mind your professions paired with a player driven shop would be a great combo. The gathers could sell their resources and unique gathered items and crafters could buy them to craft items then sell the crafted items back to the market.

I have no idea if that will support it. So long as it allows skinned items it should be alright.

Regarding crafting with unique resources, it is not thing I am looking at implementing into this plugin, but there are other plugins available for this I believe, like this one:

Oh okay. Your professions would give the ability to make it so certain items are only craftable by folks with the profession and then something like CraftMenu could alter the recipe so that those unique items found by the gatherer professions were needed. Right?

Have never used CraftMenu so I m not sure. if you can specify set perms for certain recipes, then yeah, you could add those recipe perms to the profession group.

Is there a way to use server rewards instead of economics or scrap? Also is there a way to disable the ability to change classes?

Not at present.

Regarding quitting, your best bet at the moment will be to set the cost to large amount for the mean time. I am reworking the entire plugin so there won't be any real changes until that project is completed 🙂

Is it possible to add a Harvester job for gathering food and hemp etc? Currently have crafting jobs disabled, it would be nice to have a 4th gathering option of some sort

You add the perms via your server console to the group type. Ie if you wanted to give perms to the miners you would allocate permissions to the miner oxide group etc.

o.grant group miner permission.name

Sorry just saw this. The plan is to remake the plugin so adding more roles is easier. Was very hard coded and difficult to change, being my earlier work 😂

The config doesn't handle permissions. It is handled directly via oxide, by assigning permissions to the groups that the plugin creates

"miner", "logger", "skinner", "electrician", "weaponsmith", "tailor", "mechanic"
