does this have a custom airfield on it before i buy please or is it the normal airfield, as afdrop plugin i use doesn't work with custom airfields, thanks

Hi, there is a standard Facepunch airfield on this map

does this map come with npc already pre installed into locations . or do i need better npc to add them myself. and can i use better npc anyway to possibly add more if needed ?

The archive has configured profiles for the Better Npc plugin. Standard NPCs from the editor gather in a crowd and run away in an unknown direction, so I rarely install them on custom monuments

Would it be possible to update the map to use a radio station instead of the music plugin?

This would get rid of the breaks between the multiple parts of the music files.

I don't know if you could host the files and stream them from there.
Though I suppose that would pose a bandwidth, data limit issue.

Or if you have to stick with the plugin, is it possible to stitch the music files together for continuous play?
Maybe lower the bitrate of the music to bypass the limit of the filesize if there is one? 

I'm just now exploring the map and I have to say, as a Fallout nerd, I'm loving it.

Hi, this is the only thing we came up with with music. We cannot produce a radio station with custom music through a plugin

Understood. The existing plugin itself is great. My server is overloaded with plugins and is probably the reason there's pauses between the track parts. Are there any suggestions to help improve performance of SoundRustEdit?

Meaning are there any specific plugin types that would impact the performance of this plugin? Maybe I can edit which plugins I run during this map.

There should be breaks in this plugin. The game allows you to use only 30 seconds of music, this is a recording on a voice recorder. If someone can make a radio, then it will be great

Gotcha. So there's really no way currently to improve the continuity between the individual files.


I think there may be a possibility. I'll send you dm with a couple dev suggestions as i don't want to put anyone on the spot. And I don't know if they are open to collaboration either.

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to have the fallout radio playing at bandit camp and outpost as well as the other locations ?

Hi there!

I just wanted to check if it's just me or if it's the map.

At the beginning of the wipe, everything worked great. But for about the past week, I've been having a major issue with the horses.

All the horses can't cross the railways. I can't bring a horse into a base, and I can't use a horse at any monument.

I've turned off all my plugins, but there's no change.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Does the map need to be fixed after a Facepunch update, or is this unrelated to the map?

Hi, this is a problem with horses from the developers, at first they updated something and horses could not be bought, now they have updated something and other problems have arisen. I think they'll fix it soon, it's not about the map or the plugins.

Are there supposed to be NPCs randomly placed on the map? I do have BetterNPC, but was expecting them to only be at monuments.

There are ready-made profiles for the Better NPC plugin in the archive

I understand that and have them installed, but do any of those place NPCs out in the open or near roadways, etc.? Or only near monuments? My players are complaining that they can't farm barrels or go anywhere without there being NPCs.

Are the swipe card controllers in the Robotics building supposed to be active to allow access to a second floor? and is the large blast door at the bottom supposed to open once you press the button? Neither of these features work on the map I'm currently playing. Does this require a run through on Rust Edit to change some features?

Ah, that was the issue. Now that it is installed everything is working as it should. Thanks!!

Sometimes the elevators at VAULT TEC are stacked twice or three times.
Our server is restarted once a day (using the restart command),

multiple elevators are stacked,
and eventually, just pressing the elevator switch causes an error and forces a logout.
The only error output is the following:

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
XXXX kicked: RPC Error in Server_RaiseLowerFloor

Hi, thanks for letting me know about this. Have you updated the Rust Edit DLL? Perhaps this is a mistake

Armor train It doesn't work well with these suspended rails. I had to remove the plugin because there were several bugs.

Congratulations, the map is certainly the best after gasoline! 🙂
