The locked crate does not appear because you set "Render boat across the map (might impact client performance)" to false in the config. This config option is obsolete and will be removed with the next update.
I will try to fix the banging noise with the next update as well, however I don't have a solution for it yet.
The player tick kick happens because the plugin generates a patrol path for the tugboat when it is loaded for the first time. The patrol path is then saved and pulled from a file the next time you load the plugin, so there should be no server stalls and player kicks on subsequent reloads.
