Hello! I am considering purchasing this for the next force wipe on my server. Will this be updated with the new heli pad functionality (players now need to repair the heli pad before using it) before the update is released?

Hello, thanks for your interest in my product. I wasn’t going to add this to my prefab since I feel like most servers/players  won’t like the new system. However, if there’s interest in it from people I could make two versions of my prefab that includes the new buildable heli pad so server owners have the option of using whatever they like. I’ll have to do some tests and see if everything is updated for me to make the changes via RustEdit. However, if there’s interest I could look into making it available for people.

I run a server that is more on the vanilla side of things so I'd like a merged outpost that abides by the new design.... At least unless players absolutely hate it next wipe. Thus far I haven't heard much negative feedback about it

I understand that, each server has its preferences so I’ll have a look into it tomorrow and see what I can do. Since it uses a specific prefab for the new buildable heli pad and my current setup uses a custom made heli pad the merged outpost will probably have to be slightly different from this one. So, I might not combine the two into the same file and just create a whole new file.

That would be amazing! Thank you!

Here in case RustMaps doesn't update the CustomMapVehicleVendorFix plugin, this is a fixed one someone posted in RustEdit discord

https://github.com/rusthb/Rust-CustomMapVehicleVendorFix

If you click on the file in the github there is a button to download it directly so you don't actually have to copy and paste the code

Thanks for leaving this message incase people are confused, I've added the link to the "Works with - Compatible add-ons, packages, or tools that pair well with this resource." part of the product details page.

Just one more question. Some of these custom outposts still require the old SaddleVendorFix plugin. Pretty sure facepunch fixed it so they don't need that anymore though.. I assume yours does not for the saddle vendor to work?

I've had some people have issues and some not, I sometimes get an issue with it so I'd recommend that you install the saddlevendor plugin so that the shop actually works.

Thanks for the heads up. I have an updated version of that as well, as the one of RustMaps was not working after September update.

Thanks for attaching an updated version of that plugin!

I do have one suggestion. IMO the font style for the text you have labeling the sections, and your credit for your plugin ("Made by Mr. Lou") should be a more natural looking style for a Rust monument. Currently it just looks like the text was directly pasted there, and is just kind of too generic and unworn... in a way. That's literally the only thing I found that I'd change about this.

I don’t have any say over the font style in RustEdit, that is the only font they have and I can’t do anything about that. Its actually the same font that is used by the facepunch team in some areas of the map and that’s why it’s the only one there. This is an example of the font used by the facepunch team in outpost, they have it in a different colour but we don't have the option to change the colour, unfortunately.

Oh ok! Had no idea you can't edit that! I could have sworn I've seen people use different styles before but I guess I'm wrong. Sorry to bug ya!

So you can create custom fonts out of prefabs but that’ll use a lot of prefabs if I used that method for all the text, since I don’t want to impact players fps I don’t like to use that method. I’d prefer to use the current version I already have.
