Hello! Thank you for this plugin.

but i hope adding this functionality would be really more useful!
For regular users, it would be ideal if they could only see the locations of other users through designated Permissions. In this case, the positions specifically designated by the Zonemanager would not be visible.

can you please add this?

I have added the ability to display players by permissions, but there will be no integration with zonemanager, if you want to restrict their use you should use other methods to take away and grant permission

Am I stupid because I can't understand the purpose of this ?

"Added display player markers by permissions. This should not be used in conjunction with the admin map."

Maybe you can give the permission to player so he can see others on the map without using /amap? or what?

And what's the possible use for this?
"Added {admin.steamid} and {admin.username} expressions for specifying in commands"

And how to use this? "Made the display of other users with the admin map enabled"
What should I look for on the map to see if the other admin use /amap enabled? Like different marker color or?

1. Yes, you can issue a truth to a player and they will have other players visible (no functionality). I was asked to do this earlier.

2. it is necessary if you need to specify some information about the administrator (id or nickname) in the team.

3. Earlier on the map was not visible players with the admin card enabled, but I decided to make them visible after all

Thanks, got it.
About 3. Maybe you can add an adminmap.bypass/hide permission so you won't be seen on the map.
(sounds useless because that's planned to be admin tool, and you don't want to have hidden players at all, but idk maybe you can hide as admin from other admins or from users with the 1. feature given)

It would be helpful if you could implement only the functions that are really needed in the admin tools.
Updating the SteamID would have been helpful.

However, the ability to only display players or hide specific players could have been done with another free plugin.

It is a fairly well-designed plugin, so it is better to enhance existing functionality rather than add new features.

Specifically,
1 Notification when a player enters or exits a zone. (right-click green zone).
2 After placing a marker in a green zone, right-click directly on the marker for TP instead of TP from the left menu.
3 The zone itself can be turned into a marker and multiple markers can be placed. This allows more areas to be monitored.
4 Configurable to change /amap to a different command, thus eliminating the need to rewrite CS for every update.
5 Enhanced monitoring, such as showing the location of vehicles with OwnerID's based on the target player, as there are quite a non functions that can be done when monitoring by player name.

I can think of many other things, but I can't make plugins like you can, so apologies if I am stating the impossible. Either way, thanks for the great plugin.

This looks very promising… could you add ESP functionality similar to Admin Radar over on umod... adding something like that would allow me to consolidate 2 other plugins down to this single one. 🙂

Hello, no nothing like that will be added to this plugin, because this plugin represents exactly the map.

I don't see anything wrong with plugins being separate, even if you combine several plugins into one it won't become more optimized.

Optimizations aside, 1 plugin to track and update from an admin perspective is always going to be better than having to track and update 3. Every month when a force update comes, its stress time for server owners to see which plugins broke, then we wait for updates. So I was thinking consolidation of plugin maintenance, not necessarily optimization.

I don't want to run TP Marker, Admin Radar, and then this one which is 95% there to replacing the other 2, just for map markers. Anyways nice concept, keep up the good work. 🙂

TP Marker, Admin Radar

teleport2marker

espcanvas

Both can be addressed by RUST's AdminCommands.

It would be useful to be able to track vehicles based on each OwnerID, etc., but as it is an AdminMap, there is no need, in my opinion, to be able to do anything other than Map.

As an aside,
With the Teleport marker plugin that I know of, it hasn't been updated in three years, so it doesn't need to be checked, and AdminRadar doesn't break much.

Now that you said those other 2 I use don't break much ... they're going to break next force wipe, watch... you jinxed us. lol 😉

Teleport by marker are present in this plugin, no need for an additional one. For this you need to press Ctrl and press RMB at the point you want to teleport to.

About merging into 1 plugin, that doesn't make sense. If you just take 2 plugins and merge it will not give you optimization because the code is written the same. Also it is more difficult to determine where the fault is in case of plugin breakage and if the plugin is one, you can not unload something separately, but only all together and lastly if the plugin breaks, it will break the same whether it is 1, or 10 separately, the only difference is how fast the developer will update it.

I decided to give it a try ... went over your description, screenshots and compared to what I have it looks a little different. Probably been updated since you made the initial catalog offering. I have a side bar, permanently on the left side of my in-game screen. I haven't given the admin group any permissions at all, yet I appear to have ALL permissions because I can click the side bar buttons and they appear to work. Is this because I'm the owner with Auth level 2?

Is there any way to get ride of the side bar in-game view, and only have it display in MAP view since the functions are for the MAP anyways?

Also, in your description you only specify 2 permissions, can you please let me know what these do, aside from the Allow one? 🙂

The update log above says it all.👍

So what your saying is, anytime I'm interested in a plugin I should just go back and read the last dozen update notes instead of just trusting that the developer keeps his description,  and permissions sections up-to-date, so they're not missing $hit? *sigh*

Yes, the description is outdated, that's my fault, I'll fix it.

I will now respond to your messages:
1. Yes, it is because you have auth level 2. It says so in the first video in the description, right after the first paragraph in the first seconds.
2. No, you can't remove the panel and it's not because I can't or I'm too stupid to realize that it would be a good idea to add it to the MAP. This is a limitation of the CUI, I will not go into details, if you are interested in the details - you can familiarize yourself with it.
3. No, you don't have to read all the patchnotes, but if you are really interested in the plugin, you can do it, all the patchnotes for the history of the plugin are available and they are made to be read.

I would never assume anyone is to stupid, I trust your dev skills so there is no question there... if you can't, you can't. I have a moderator, auth level 1 ... no permissions given for this app and he can see it as well. Is it supposed to display for Auth lvl 1 as well?

Yes, this applies to moderators as well, I think it should be limited to owner level only or removed altogether. I think I'll delete it, I'll do it soon.

I think the side bar is great, I would keep it ... but maybe make it permissions controlled for moderators (auth level 1) ... reason being... not all moderators are given the same abilities. So control over who can, and cannot see/use would be nice from a permissions perspective. 🙂

The tool is great though, you've done a good job with it. There are a couple more owners / admins that I know ... I will ask them if they've seen this tool yet and if not to give it a try.

Just updated today. I only have adminmap allow, adminmap invis permissions enabled for the admin group... sidebar shows up just fine for me. However I have noticed twice now today when I've logged off, then back on that the sidebar disappears... and using /amap does not bring it back. I have to reload the plugin, then it comes back. Am I missing something?

How do I move it to the right side of the screen so that it doesn't cover the chat?

There is no such option, otherwise it would override the map interface
