You can't build on Ireland, it's the end game area, but we played with water bases so our players could build as close to it as possible, they still had to plan their raids carefully as dying meant a long trek back from their bags.

Also given there is so much content (and roads with signs!), we also used the map as part of trivia events and treasure hunts for the players "First to find the crate on xxx road gets the next clue"

Title and attribution : This poem is by an anonymous poet, hunted by the Vogon poetry society for his crimes against rhyming pentameter.
The poem 808 wrote is the map and this review is a impossibly overextended metaphor. Few maps get to really be art, but this map makes it across the line, and then runs around on the other side blowing bubbles.
Line 1 : The care shows, from the phonebooths and bins to the Layout of the London outpost, the level of care to make sure it really feels "British and not just England-shaped"
Line 2-3: It's just there, top right. Download button. Go download it.
Line 4: Is the poet confused? No, there's a paid version. It's even cheap at the paid price. A steal for the amount of effort.
Line 5: Really, how many maps have premade configs for ANY of the following : RaceTrack, Automated Workcarts, Static Lootables (and it's 'DLC'), Heli Refuel, Bank Heist. Not many. Not only builds a racetrack, but set up the race for you. Very impressive attention to detail. +1
Line 6: Well, it's pretty. REAL pretty. I have watched groups of zombies walk right up on players admiring the view or the monuments. It's just a really pretty map. Take the train, tickets are free, see the sights.


Critiques of the poem*
             *the map, if you're following this metaphorical hyperextension. Go download it, all will be clear.

There is a single critique, but it is sort of inevitable given the nature of the map. The size and detail of the map mean that this is not going to work on a bottom spec Potato86. You need a decent server to run this map. It's not overweight, God forbid! No, but it's a big boned gentlemap, and needs a bit of room on the sofa server.
 

TLDR: It's the dog's bollocks. It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the sale of the bloody century! It's superultradoubleplusgood. 
If you have a server with the stones, this is the map for you. 6/5, broke the mould.

This map has so many custom monuments, and if you dont use static loot, its perfect, every custom monument has loot and so much to explore. 10/10 map. my first day with this map people already said they loved it! and went from Zero pop on my server to 5. 

Wow. What a map. This really is amazing. I'm going to leave a big review here, so in advance I apologise for the wall of text.

Where to start. Well this map is such a challenge. I'll try to give some of the great main points about this map below:
 - There is no metal or sulphur in England and Wales. If you want this, you have to gather it from wild spawns or travel to Scotland/Ireland. Ireland is a no build area, so make sure your players are aware of this. 
 - The train network is such a dream. The fact that 8o8 Designs have included pre-made triggers for AutomatedWorkcarts is such a big thing, and even the maker of that plugin thought it was awesome that a map maker has done this.
 - You really will experience a new game with this map. I've noticed that bases in England & Wales are so different than what I've seen my players make on other maps of mine because of the scarcity of metal. 
 - This is a large map. At 6K it's not such a common size, that you'll be able to allow your players to truly explore, and explore they should. There are many hidden gems on this map, and my players that like searching have loved finding thing out on this map. 
 - Consider this too. This is the free map, but I opened a support ticket about the automated workcarts in Ireland. I was advised they were removed so that people who have the train heist plugin could use that rail circuit. I put only a suggestion out there asking that if 8o8 still had the files, could he include them too. He didn't have them, but he was still happy to go ahead and remake the trigger points to get it working again. WOW! This level of support is rare on paid products, let alone free ones.

There are so many other great features to this map, but didn't want to bore people any more than I already would have. 
So the TL;DR is: Map is great, support is greater, get this map, all is flawless.

Wow this is one of the best maps ive ever seen! Its full of greatness. 

I popped this on my Development box to see how it was. It has so much content! A lot of thought and effort went into not only making it a UK shaped map, but UK like map. Attention to detail like the road dividers, bins at the bus stop gave me a sense of being in the UK.  The guard towers, jumping puzzles, suburbs, train tunnels and many little touches make this an outstanding map, that is amazingly free.

The server was clocking over 160 FPS (often over 200) on a four core / eight thread 7-year-old CPU with 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and an 2 TB M.2 SSD with over 60 plugins.

If you have a solid server, this will delight your players as there is a lot to explore and discover. It would work well for PVE and PVP due to its thoughtful design.
