A pain in the butt re editing a config that was working 100% since "Pain" developed it, to show exactly what was showing before the update

The rewrite was extensive.. but allows building blocks for further development, less server load and future maintenance. Understandable that it is annoying, but I feel like anyone now could take this plugin and develop further functionality.

That is nice to know except that everytime i put MY messages into the config it overwrites them to what the dev thinks it should be,  i have reverted back to original plugin which has worked for me for 4 + years with no problems at all

I can understand the extremely mild annoyance you may feel updating a config once in over 4 years... however it is impossible that your config is being overwritten.. config is only created if there isn't one.. Thats the only time the saveconfig is called. This has been tested and verified.

Now I might not be a dev but I do know that configurations can be overwritten by plugin updates otherwise the devs would not issue a warning to "back up your config before updating". if you are in doubt of this i will go back through the documentation of the plugins i have and copy them for you. I do have plenty of time and have recently read through 300 pages of "kit" plugin posts to prove a point,

If the update did not overwrite my config (which checked ok with json lint) i would not say it did

This plugin works great.

For my part, when there is an update of a plugin, whatever it is, I always make a backup of my config file, and I delete it from my server. After this step, I install the plugin update. This allows the plugin to take a clean config and not have any errors with it. But don't forget to make a backup of your config before. I think if you open a rust server, "that's one of the basics" of a server founder. Updates do not always overwrite the old config. In any case, good job, and great plugin. Thank you

I didn't say that plugins can't.. I said my plugin doesn't. I have reloaded the plugin time and time again with a variety of different value changes. The plugin read the values and only add or remove a values that are not there. It does not overwrite existing values.

im totally sure being a rude ass will get you any type of support from anyone...
the WHOLE point of the panel, is to remind people, new people, fresh people about the server rules.
i could understand if you wanted this to not show up for your donors that already know and abide by the rules or yourself... but im not even going to tell how due to how rude AF you are lol... makes me wonder how you treat your small playerbase.
if you only wanted to show it once then not again, why even have or get this to begin with . . . *facepalm*

There has already been a method to make it show only once (per wipe)...  Just read everything in the config file, like this line...

Is there any support for this plugin? I suggest some things and report on the command "rulesto" that is broken but there is no answer.

Hey, I adopted the plugin a few days ago and plan to maintain it in the future.
I'm currently reading into the code and making sure it's up to date and works cleanly.
Contact me via ticket and please let me know your experience with this plugin.
