Just curious when the patch for the boxes underground will be released? 

It's been quite an issue this wipe and being an only admin, lots of players get peeved off when I'm not available and a base has loot/TC stuck underground.

i have been getting some bases spawn half underground also and was wondering if there was a fix or is it just because of the facepunch terrain update that's causing the issue it doesn't happen all the time only maybe 2 or 4 bases  a day and i have bases always on the map

It's a bug that pooped up this wipe. It happens to a lot of my bases now and I don't really wanna manually adjust the height when they were good before and have them be broken again when the patch comes. Was hoping it would be addressed a lot sooner cause it's happening a lot and to a lot of us owners/admins

Hello!

 

I'm sure I've missed a setting somewhere, but after going through an initial setup / config, it seems this was bogging out my server to the point of booting my players for "EAC network packet from invalid connection"

 

As soon as I disable the plugin, everything is fine.

 

Server is beefy, dell power edge r6515, epic processor 256gb ram, NVMe drives.

heya, a baseline 2.5ghz is well below the minimum server specs. that is a database server with lots of threads and fast memory access. basically the opposite of what a game server needs

RB uses the minimum Amount Of Entities To Spawn Per Batch already (1), but you can reduce the paste batch size to 1 in your CopyPaste config

Not sure where you inferred that I had 2.5ghz..

It's an epyc 7302p @ 3Ghz, HT.

I run other servers on it via pterodactyl. It is dedicated platform, runing Debian 12 baremetal.

I have two other Rust servers on it presently and one of them is highly modded, I don't have issues on that one but I also am not running the RB plugin there.

 

I will adjust the setting you mentioned and post back. I am completely open to the idea that I haven't configured something properly, but not sure why you focused on my hardware. It is not dissimilar to what many professional server-hosting providers use.

Also to note, before changing the setting you've mentioned, I have no issues with manually pasting these bases somewhere. It's only when triggered by RB that it causes the issue (if it makes any difference).

Yeah that setting change didn't help. If anything it made it "drag out" the delay before it bombs out and kicks people. Prior to that change, it was at least kind of sort of "quick" about the booting and kicking. This time it took about 2 minutes or so:

Got it sorted. The problem was with the config. I had typos in the profile configs for the amount of items to spawn. for the record, 200,000 is a bit much and may crash y'all stuff.... <eek>

heya, it's no concern really. I was just saying the R6515 is not ideal for Rust and most chips are under 3.5GHz. providers shouldn't market database-oriented hardware for game servers. I'm happy you sorted out your issue. 200,000 is a lot of items. maybe I should clamp this. 😄

they're an IO entity now so yeah.

I don't give them power though. just moving items to its inventory

are other people also having issues with bot bases half spawning in, like missing structures and below ground and teleporting players away?

Hey Nivex,

 

I see this error in the CLI when the plugin loads / reloads. I ran the console commands to remove Hard, Expert, and Nightmare like you say to do specifically. I checked the config file and the only lines I can find that have that specific verbiage, only list Easy / Medium. Is there somewhere else to check, that I have missed?

heya, it doesn't look like it's being removed from Buyable Events UI, but you said it's not in config so that's fine

and it is trying to re-add the difficulty from the profile when the plugin loads. It's fixed in the next update
