 ✅ COMPATIBILITY WITH FACEPUNCH NEW POLICY

As some of you may already know, Facepunch has updated its server policies regarding the distribution of paid content.
Servers are no longer allowed to provide paid Skins or DLC for free to players who have not purchased them legitimately.

Because of this, BetterTC has been updated to fully comply with the new guidelines:

✅ Skin ownership validation added:

Only the following will be shown or usable:

  • Building skins, Tool Cupboard (TC) skins, and Wallpapers that the player legitimately owns in their Steam inventory.
  • Any existing free skins.

Key notes:

  • All available building skins will still be shown, but players can only use them for upgrading or reskinning if they own them or they are free.
  • Only free, custom, and owned wallpapers will be visible. More custom wallpapers coming soon.
  • TC skins will only be visible and selectable if the player owns them.

✅ New configuration option:

  "Bypass DLC ownership check (⚠ only allowed on creative/test servers per Facepunch rules)": false,

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT

This option should only be enabled on creative or training servers. Using it on public PvP or PvE servers violates Facepunch’s policies and may result in your server being penalized or blacklisted.

im not sure to be honest, i removed jetpacks immediately after it happened and havent added it back in yet

Anyone else run the NoEcape plugin and BetterTC? There seems to be an issue with being able to use the auto repair from TC even if the base owner is raid blocked.

I assume you have one of these options enabled:
"Use NoEscape Plugin": true,
"Use RaidBlock Plugin": true,

Remember that upgrading and repairing are simply prevented from being executed if the player performing it is blocked. I say this because there are ways to "cancel" RaidBlock in NoEscape, such as killing yourself and respawning in the house (if you don't have it set to persistent). That way, they could upgrade or repair while other players are in Raid Block.

I've had my eyes on this plugin for quite a while now, but I'm really concerned about the disappearing TCs
Has this been fixed?
Keen to pull the trigger, but just feeling hesitant at the moment

Yes, that was a specific update (1.5.91) that was later reverted and then fixed in 1.5.92

Did you end up having any luck resolving the Issue with BetterTC ? It still doesnt seem to be compatiable for me.

The TC is still falling of the train. 

I build the TC on a buildable train, move the train the TC stays in air and doesnt move with the train still.

Are you having this problem with the latest version? Can you tell me which Train plugin you're using? I tried one myself and it worked fine for me.

After the latest hot fix released this morning the plugin no more loads:

Error while compiling BetterTC: 'BuildingBlock' does not contain a definition for 'CanPickup' and no accessible extension method 'CanPickup' accepting a first argument of type 'BuildingBlock' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) | Line: 2888, Pos: 66

With the latest version of BetterTC? This was fixed a week ago with another update they released. I don't know if they've changed anything else...
