Compliance with Facepunch’s New Server Policy

As many of you may be aware, Facepunch has recently updated its server policies.

Servers are no longer permitted to offer paid skins or DLC to players who have not legitimately purchased them.
You can view the official policy update here: https://facepunch.com/legal/servers

To ensure full compliance with these new guidelines, BaseUpgrade has been updated accordingly:

Skin Ownership Validation
From now on, only the following items that a player legitimately owns in their Steam inventory will be visible or usable:

  • Building Skins
  • Wallpapers (Not added yet but is still planned)

New Configuration Option

Quote

"BypassSkinOwnershipCheck (Only allowed on creative/test servers)": false

Note: This setting is intended only for use on creative or testing servers. Enabling it on public servers violates Facepunch’s terms and may lead to your server being penalized or blacklisted.

Did this ever  get added? Looking at coming back to this plugin as it now combines multiple plugins for me

Hello, for some reason it doesn't appear, I went back to the previous version and ubertool stopped working.

it looks like its still on 2.0.7 on lone design, which is quite a few versions ago. how soon do you think the update will be available there?

I should probably expand on what I meant by vip permissions xD

Is it possible to get the ability to add in multiple groups that can have own settings for most of the config

example

edit: this is not an issue. Can you please make sure image-library is installed and loaded on your server and then reload the baseupgrade plugin!

hi there, loving the plugin so far, i just have one problem! 

when i try and move the Upgrade UI in the config it doesnt move

An update is coming very soon to address this issue. i do have a quick patch for this if you would like to dm on discord: drxp for now ofc until the update comes

is there any way to disable the wallpaper button completely?  I can not assign a permission but would be nice to hide the feature completely.  Thanks!

There is no wallpapers in this plugin yet, do you mean the skin menu?
