Allow me to explain why a server admin would never want to do this.
1. Not all downloads are .cs, some are .zip.
2. Sometimes the Mod author's release an update before the wipe update. This probably would cause all sorts of errors at least, that you do not want.
3. On rare occasions, you have to back up your config file, and sometimes even delete it, before you can put an update mod on your server. This is why one should always read the update notice the authors put out, before updating.
In conclusion. While the idea sounds fine on the surface to speeding up wipe or having the server automatically stay up to date on the Mods. Doing so would cause more headaches and consume more time, than just doing it manually.
I've already spoken my piece on this just under a year ago. The only thing I have to add to that, is why not have a curated section and an AI coded section, with all the disclaimers your lawyer can think of to protect you? That seems the most logical course, and better than standing on the side of the road wondering why hardly anyone buys your horseshoes anymore, as cars zip by you...
You have to leave one of the notifications there, then copy the message ID and put that into the config file where it asks for message ID. From what I understand this allows it to edit that message.
Though, I don't think Discord puts a notification pip or bolds the channel when an edit happens. If that's the case with Discord, then this mod just became near useless for my needs.
Actually, this is perfect! The emails from this site never mention updates, only forum posts The other site I use, emailing on update works great.
So, I did the mods I have from this site and used a Discord hook for notifications.
Question: Does marking true to "Ignore new version" stop it from checking them, saving CPU usage?
Suggestion:
When it spits out to Discord, can it be made to grab the server name too? I run more than one heavily modded server and while some of the mods are the same between all servers, others aren't.
Thank you for the great mod!!!
