Hi. Is there a reason the same plugins which have been updated keep getting spammed?

create support request and send your config file

@tofurahieDo you think it would be possible to have the plugin report the plugins together with the site they're reporting from?  It's just a personal preference, just thought I'd ask.

@tofurahie Do you know what's wrong here? I'll do the setup via the old school way by editing the config file but that's not the idea when I have 100+ plugins.
It auto tries to recognize plugins but it's a failure so I wanted to re-check and force set the wrongly recognized plugins manually to their proper websites.

And you can only edit the URL in the UI

@tofurahieEdited my config, I can send you the new one but everything is exactly the same as the old one only properly set websites and links for everything. Custom ones are ignored. Now is almost good but I'm unsure what these red names are?
All my yellow plugins are the ignored ones as I can see. Red plugins are the part from the wrong detected plugins I had in my case... There were more but they're green. Example of AntiTeam on the image: image.png.e466d6c5257ca6e54d04adb19aa6054e.png

And if green = OK, then why green colored OnItemUse for example with proper link and website doesn't send the link to discord: image.png.071ed0433ccfee0c7d44d000d3c1081e.png image.png.1944241f2f240ed99598f898ffb78a51.png

Also made the webhook, sent test message with 'uctest' and then copied the Message ID but the plugin was spamming all day new messages every hour... I also noticed the messages were maybe incomplete from A to Z (unsure).

The above error is fixed but now it doesn't seem to be posting to discord and its posting the date and time twice in console.

(07:36:36) | Loaded plugin UpdateChecker v4.1.8 by tofurahie
(07:36:40) | [UpdateChecker] `10 May 2024 07:36``10 May 2024 07:36`

Upgraded from 4.1.7 to 4.1.13, and it now just writes a timestamp to the log and discord instead of saying "all plugins up to date" - is this expected?

For me this plugin still isn't working as expected. When you do the initial setup first, you'll then sit and relax later on but I continue to experience problems:
1. Massive SPAM - my discord channel is getting spammed every check with a new message while properly edited the config to include message ID
(I don't want to make the plugin do 1 check per day due to this spam)
2. Some plugins have not found (AnitTeam - not found) while I edited the config and added links for them and website. Others are still displayed as outdated...
(example -> on-item use after updating it early)
Any ideas?

1. You can't get your message edited if your new ("message with update listi") has more than limited length of symbols (because on message can be like < 2000 length) so i need to split in 2 messages the one message with update list (if you will have the "update list" lenght less than 2000) (your message which message id you are using will be edited)
2. It's sites' api problem, i will let you know if it will be fixed

Ok, I'll just increase the check time to 12-24 hours if the message can't be edited. You'll fix the sites not working (not found) but what about the plugin version? On the example image it shows local version for OnItemUse 0.0.0 while my plugin is already up to 1.0.1. Then why it's not updated in UpdateChecker? I hope I don't have to manually edit the Update Checker config every time I update something.

no you don't have to update it manually, i suppose the problem is inside the plugin but i can't tell if i don't check it

FYI, the time offset stuff doesn't really work as intended. It seems this mod uses `DateTime. Now`, which returns server local time. If UTC is intended as the time basis in this plugin, then `DateTime.UtcNow` should be used instead for getting current UTC time.

just change UTC in the config so you will get the correct, (I don't rely on server local time because you can host server from another contry and the time won't match with yours)

I think you misunderstand: Your code is using local time, because it's calling `DateTime.Now`. This returns local time: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.datetime.now?view=net-8.0#system-datetime-now

If your intention is for UpdateChecker to use UTC, then your code needs to be changed to instead call `DateTime.UtcNow`: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.datetime.utcnow?view=net-8.0

The time shown with the message in discord is off by 3 hours. As you can see below it says 01:48 but it should say 04:48. How to change that?

Update Checker:  6 Jun 2024 01:48
All plugins have the latest version
