Outpost Overrun introduces a sudden shift in one of Rust’s safest zones, turning it into a high-risk, high-reward combat scenario that players can choose to engage with or avoid entirely. The Outpost itself remains structurally unchanged, but becomes temporarily hostile as elite scientists secure the area and valuable loot is deployed within.
