Is it possible to have these as random drops from elite crates or something?

If you use a loot plugin, you can simply add the custom items as listed in the plugin page to the loot table (as long as your loot plugin ahandles custom skins). I could look at adding this feature, but most loot plugins should handle adding custom skinned items to loot. Or there are existing plugins like Extra Loot that does this very well.

Was wondering if we could add a <Maximum Range Players Can do damage to Heli:> option? Actually this would be awesome for Bradley Drops too! ❤️ This would help me keep players from tagging helis/bradleys from silly distances.

I will consider it, but, tagging the heli from a long distance is part of the game surely and takes skill to get it at 1000m and beyond. Why would you want to prevent that?

I do agree, the skill to hit it at range should be rewarded. We're looking to find an appropriate balance for players that want to 'steal' a signalled heli. If players pay for the heli, or Bradley, we want them to have priority on the aggression, but still allow other players to engage respectfully.
A limit on the range to damage the enemies helps us prevent people stealing an expensive called heli/bradley from across the map. Of course we're open to other possibilities that allow players to engage/counter these signals fairly. We don't want to lock the signals to the caller, only reduce the likelyhood of losing their rewards to poachers.

Does the "Force heli to return to player" option help with that or is it no good for your purpose?

 

You could set it to return if it goes too far away.

But I will implement an exact feature you describe in the next update. 👍🏻

That gets us pretty close I think? I do want other players to be able to aggro helis, but they should need to be within a range where both parties also would have to deal with eachother. With Bradley this isn't as much of an issue because of terrain, but with patrol, it's in the open mostly.

@ZEODEIs it possible we could also have a loot table variant option? It would be nice to make a loot table list that adds those items to the vanilla drops rather than replacing the vanilla drop list. For us, we'd like to add the possibility of our more elite custom items to the vanilla loot tables.
I've seen similar options elsewhere and it's been very helpful. Below is an example of what we're thinking about:
"Which loot table should be used? (1 - default; 2 - own; 3 - combine the 1 and 2 methods)": 3

No problem! Yes that easily doable, I can add an option to just add extra custom loot items to the vanilla crates, with options to specify min and max items etc. I will include it in the next update

Bought the plugin and wondered which of the profiles, "Hard, Normal or Easy" is the vanilla heli in terms of complete AI logic, damage, speed, and etc. I see (Default = value) in the config and Easy have almost all of the values same as default ones but Overall HP and rotors HP is lowered maybe on purpose. So I can increase the HP just want to know if theses values labeled with Default are the vanilla ones.

I will buy this plugin as long as it is compatible with vehicle airdrops. Would this interfere with that in any way? It uses a similar system to call in different types of vehicles with supply signals.

Hi, yes Easy is vanilla settings. All the values ladled Default are vanilla settings.

This plugin is compatible with Vehicle Airdrops yes, I use VA too alongside this on my own servers.

Loving this plugin so far!

I was wondering if it was possible to add a command for admins that would show the current helis in the air with the following information:

What difficulty 
Who called them
Their position on the map
Remaining health

@ZEODEStill wonder what's the default rotor HP... In easy profile HP is 4000, I changed it to 10k (default) but I am sure rotor health is not default to 500 and 900. Do you know the exact default rotors values?

hmmm, not sure why I decided on these HP numbers. You are correct, vanilla heli HP is 10k, rotor HP is correct though. I’ll change the default config options on a future update and advise changing in the change log unless people have their own custom numbers set.

How I can force heli to fly faster to the signal/player who called it location after spawning then have normal fly speed after reach the destination? I like the idea to be able to steal heli freely but first I want to go to the caller and after that everything is game, if you loose it, loose it.

Currently that isn't possible, but I could add this as an option in a later release. You could use this config option instead:

"Map Scale Distance Away to Spawn Helicopter (Default: 1.25 = 1.25 x Map Size Distance)": 1.25,

This sets the distance from the caller that the heli spawns, so reducing this number makes it spawn closer. 1.25 is default so it spawns out to sea and flys in. But you could make it spawn closer to the player, over the land. 1.0 = map width distance, 0.5 = half map width distance etc. This way it takes less time to fly to the player.

Uh, I am shit at math but my map is usually 4250 (default) in rare cases 3500 so will experiment now.

Works with both, my test server has BetterLoot atm, no issues.
