Yes, just set it in the configuration file.

Suggestion: Have an option where the portal you enter could make you come out of one of the other portals, but it's random to which one out of the other portals that have been placed.

I don't know if such a thing is possible with them.

How a door set in a map works CustomPortal.DoorSet1 <-> CustomPortal.DoorSet1
Is it possible for the portal system to link multiple doors? So say I have a door prefab called CustomPortal.Monument, and I place the prefab down at Launch Site, Mil Tunnels, Junkyard and Satellite. Is it then possible for someone entering a specific named portal to be teleported to a RANDOM one of the other portals? So I enter at Launch, get sent to {Random : Mil Tunnels, Junkyard, Satellite} Say I end up at Junkyard, I enter the portal again, I end up at {Random : Launch, Mil Tunnels, Satellite)?

If there's only 2 prefabs with the same name, obviously they can only link to each other either way.

@The Friendly Chap, Hey, I've already got this on my todo list for this plugin. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for Rust mods these 2 weeks, but it seems like I would be getting some in the near future. Wait for update 😀

Lol. I thought it may have crossed your mind. Take your time, it's quiet over Xmas, and the wee fish in my tank can wait till next year for full bore insanity to take root again. The map-based portal system I envision will be both fixed and random, making attempts to map the system impossible. So even the map is a long term project.

This plugin interferes with the Christmas addon patch @_senyaa. It needs to be updated, else custom portals wont work during the xmas event causing the xmas event to not work with this plugin active.

EDIT: 1.1.3 seems to fix the issue on my end. Please let me know if you have further issues.

Custom maps

To use Custom Portals on your map you need to place any prefab and create a custom prefab from it.

Name it CustomPortals.<portal name>

2 portals with the same name will link.

1) Attach perm from portal manager once in game?
2) Possible to make it auto set a perm for a prefab I placed on the map?
3) If 1) is the way will it persist over wipe. Don't want to have to setup perms on every portal every time I wipe map.
4) No matter how I turn the Prefab in RustEdit the door keep always facing N-S.

Hey @Lighted Shadows, sorry for late response.

1) You can have permissions for individual portals and/or for all of them. (see description)

2) Will be added in the next update

3) Portals which are placed using commands do persist after wipe

4) Will look into that, possibly going to fix in the next update

i love this mod as well. its been great for my server.  it would be great if multiple players could link a single portal.  maybe the monument add function allows it, but my combined outpost isnt recognised as one....so i added 12 portals on a first come first serve basis.  not perfect, but they still dig it. ty for the cool mod. hope to see more flexible configs in the future! 9/10 bc it saved my broken pocket dimension...

Any way to add a Spawn Command also like your monument spawn command?
So there is no need to place the door by a player?
like /spawnportal aaand it get palced 😛

Hi, is there a way to set one door as an entrance and another only as an exit? If not, would it be possible to add this?
