I have just now replicated the scenario you described with the config you provided and everything seems to be working as intended, could there perhaps be another plugin that is interfering with the protection? Here is the scenario I just tested, let me know if it sounds accurate:

I have one sheet metal door (Door A), within a building zone that has 50% protection (level 10 from your config) .

I have another sheet metal door (Door B), outside of a building zone, therefore it has 0% protection.

I shot both doors using an assault rifle with explosive rounds 10 times. Door A took 20 damage. Door B took 40 damage. This is the expected result. I have repeated this test with multiple protection percentages.

Now, in addition to potential plugin conflicts, here are some things to check for:

  • The weapon you are attacking with might matter, for example, metal doors are very resistant to all but explosive damage and take almost no damage from other damage types
  • By default, in the protection settings, authorized players CAN damage their own structure, and protection will be completely ignored, I think you're okay though because the config you sent protects from authorized player damage.
  • If you're running a plugin (like TruePvE or ZoneManager) it could be overriding the hook when not at 100%, I think this is the most likely issue, as in any case other than 100% protection, the plugin will defer the protected status to another plugin if it overrides it.

Hi, I have several questions:
1. Why is the plugin not being translated? I am doing a translation for my language, but the translation is not working.
2. How to add your symbol/currency name instead of the standard icon in the plugin?

i used c4 and its my test server, dont looks that i have anything else to mess with plugin. However i try today test it more. Its strange cause i used c4 on walls and protection worked well, only on sheet metal doors protection not worked, but when i added for me self permission for 100% then it started to work.

I'm not sure what the issue with translation you are having is. I just tested it with french and it's working just fine:

Here's a few things that may help:

  • Delete ALL your previous lang files for raid protection and have it generate a new english one, use this newly generated one as a template for other languages. If you had a lang file for v3.0.0, it may be outdated for v3.1.0, and therefore you need to regenerate it fresh.
  • The only part of this plugin that cannot currently be translated is some of the custom status framework indicators, but that is a limitation of that plugin, not this one.

For reference, here is the french lang file I was using in the picture (I only translated a few of the phrases)

To answer your second question, I'm assuming by "symbol" you're using economics and you want to change the currency symbol. If so, you should check out the documentation for economics, I'm not familiar with how you would change that.

@Mr01sam I find a problem, on my test server oxide had some errors, reinstalled and updated oxide, and all working now correct

I thought that was the "indicator" Boolean setting, but i am not at my PC right now to test...

That said, I am hoping the CustomStatusFramework indicator could show up when someone gets close to a base that is protected rather than waiting for them to damage the building to show it.

Yes, you can disable that shield indicator in the indicator settings section of the config. Just set "Enabled" to false.

But if i set it to false, do i lose all indicators, also those where bottom right where is hp ?

No, it will just disable the built in indicator (the shield).

@Mr01sam Im also have hard time in my server to keep population up. more or less i have around 30 casual players online, but time by time server getting some idiots who raid everyone non stop... Imagine 1x1 2x2 bases build by new players or noobs get raided like 10 of them in a row....

By any chance, you able to add daily raid limits per day ? For example:

"Raid Limits": [
      {
         "Max times": 2,
         "Every (time in hours)": 24,
      }

 

So when player destroy other player TC, he get counted as raided a base and when he do it 2 times in a same 24 hours, all other bases for him become 100% raid protected and he cannot raid anymore until 24 hours ends.

 

Please think about it if its possible. I know one plugin with raid limits, but developer never updating it, and worry that wont work properly with raid protection related plugin like this, but as developer you must know better than me for sure. there a plugin i talking about https://umod.org/plugins/raid-limit

For French, the translation works, but translations do not work for Cyrillic, namely Ukrainian and Russian (folders ru, uk)

As for the Economy, it's just that in other plugins the currency is easily configured (display name, short name, skin, binding to the plugin, and its own name of the currency), but here there is just an icon in front before of the amount.

I'm sorry but that's not in my scope of this plugin, that sounds like it could be its own plugin entirely.

does this have a option so if someone has protection on at their base and they go raiding someone else then they auto lost protection ?

Without this then this is open to abuse.As you can just make sure u are protected and no one can raid you.

What you mentioned is not a feature, directly. But since the protection is perm based, you could combine this with another plugin to revoke protection.

That being said, there are numerous options included to make it so you are raidable. For one, protection (if configured this way) costs something, if you don't have that resource, you don't get protection. Second, there's an option to charge per damage taken, if you use this option it can make it so that even if you have 100% protection, other players can "bleed" your protection balance by dealing enough damage. You can also opt to not set 100% protection and instead do say 50% or something. Tons of options to balance around.

Hi, and thanks for your time,

I have a simple requirement and I hope your plugin can do it. I tried using the free one but I was not successful. I need the TC to be protected when all players authed are offline IF they have the currency item (bones in my case) in the TC. The number of bones in the TC will determine the time protected. If there is 1 bone or more in the TC then the base is 100% protected if all players are offline. When anyone authed player gets online then the TC stop consuming bones and protection is removed.

So it is JUST offline protection and the protection is 100%. The currency item only affects the time protected. Can this plugin do this? and will I get documentation to configure this?

Never mind the problem was between keyboard and chair. Free version is working thanks!! I like this plugin. Will definitely not mind buying this one in the future!!

hi @Mr01sam, i am curious how this would work with true pve and what I am trying to accomplish. I basically use true pve to have a hybvrid pve server with pvp only on monuments and events. I would like to use this plug in for raid protection instead of true pve disabling damage to objects in game and let true pve take care of the rest.

It's doable, and its all about how you configure each plugin. I'll reach out to one of my tester's who is doing this exact same thing and see what their configs look like.
