Can this plugin work without giving players compensation and just warn about the restart?

I just added the possibility to disable the compensation in the config file 🙂

How does the compensation work?

In my mind, I envision the admin being able to decide how the players are compensated (items, economy, etc.), Players are advised the server is restarting and they will be rewarded when they rejoin as long as they join within x minutes.

That's it.

Players will be eligible for compensation if they play until the server close his door (3 minutes before restarting).

Then, if the player reconnect before the next restart, he will be able to retrieve his compensation. If he doesn't withing the next restart, he will lose it.

You mentioned "if he doesn't within the next restart, he will lose it." So it's only until the next restart happens?

Would you consider adding something that requires them to join with 'x' time of the next restart?

That's a good idea, I'll work on that 🙂

Awesome. I think that would encourage people to join back immediately after the restart to keep population up.

Also how does this pricing work? Is it $25 or $2 every 6 months?

I will absolutely consider purchase when you add this latest feature if I'm correct on the pricing above.

@Bumfuzzler For files with renewals, you pay the base price which includes 6 months of updates (or however long the renewal is for.) After it expires, you'll no longer be able to download new updates until the renewal is paid.

I hope this answers your questions 🙂

Thank you @Death

@Bumfuzzler You can see it similar to a warranty.

The customer benefits from a six-month warranty and updates from the date of purchase of the plugin. This warranty covers bugs related to the script and, as far as possible, bugs related to Rust and uMod updates.

This warranty is optionally renewable every six months by participating up to 10% of the current price (excluding tax). (cf.: Renewal Term on the plugin description page)

By buying the plugin, I confirm that I will fix any bugs that I can fix and that you will be able to get for free for 6 months. After 6 months, you'll need to buy a new warranty of 6 months to benefits from new update. But it's optional, that's means that if you don't need to get new feature or bug fix, you don't need to buy it.

Concerning the new feature, I'll work on it as soon as Christmas holiday is ended because I'm too busy now.

Yeah I get the warranty analogy, but with Facepunch releasing patches that break things on a regular basis it's sort of like Bose sending over a representative coming to my house with a hammer to smash my stereo system every other month lol

Thanks. Happy New Year 🙂

could you make this work like, players only get compensation if they join within a set amount of time after restart?

Like, they have to re-join server within 1 hour to earn compensation.

also, my first intention was, that player vote yes/no for a restart to happen.

maybe this would highly improve the value of this plugin. plugin triggers in the night and ask players if they are ready and let players choose if they´re ready for a restart. let them vote for it, if a set percent of players voted yes for restart, a timer of 15 minutes runs (to give no-voters a chance to save their stuff) and everybody who re-joins within a set time will earn a reward.

Hello,

Concerning the compensation only if the player join before an amount of time, it has been already suggested and I'm working on it 🙂

But for the other one (only restart if voted), I'll don't think I'll add it because it's not the purpose of this plugin. Your player are always informed about the restart because of the GUI so they are warned one hour before the restart.

Does the plugin have the ability to place the countdown timer somewhere else in the UI?

Also, at the time when the server is planning to restart (during the countdown), will the player told they will receive a reward if they rejoin within 'x' minutes of the restart?

No, the UI can't move because I'm working on another plugin that will allow moving it in the next version 🙂

No, any message is show but I can add it 🙂

I'm working on new features but I have many other private order that took me time so I can't deliver a upgraded version now 😕

does it work with ServerRewards, Economics? (there is no info)

where do i set the amount of compensation? (config doesn´t show it)

And only as a query, please don't get me wrong. You ask for a renewal price, but you haven't worked on things for 5 months that you wanted to implement? I do not understand. Last update was just a fix.

I am really interested in this plugin.

edit:
also, if possible - please show the restart bar (i can´t see any image)

Hello,

Since February, I can't work on plugins because of a BIOS bug with the AMD RX 6800. This bug make my computer crash on Rust... We are now (ASRock and me) close to find the problem and they are working on an update to resolve this bug (I'm not the only one with the bug): My Reddit Thread .

I was working on an overall update of all my plugins to improve them and fix some of my previous work (I'm learning new things everyday that make me want to improve my plugins) but I had to stop because of this bug.

I managed to upload an important bug fix by working on an old computer but it was only do support my customers because this computer is so slow that it takes me 10-15 minutes to run Rust and enter my development server... Then, I have to work with around 10FPS...

I'll push an update and improved presentation page as soon as my computer is "repaired":

- Performance rework of this plugin.

- UI improvement.

- Integrating ServerRewards and, perhaps, Economics.
