Someone explain to me what does the power amount mean?

Is it the amount of power required?

Amount of power it produces?

I don't want them to require any power

It is how much power LightsOn provides to the device.  Since these devices have outputs to other devices (elevator floors, length of light string, devices attached to the boom box) they don't have a fixed amount needed.  Items where I know the amount I give just enough to power it.  but in these special cases I allow you the operator to set it.  that is to mitigate folks exploiting the power output (players are creative).

any idea why my small furnaces keep turning off after a couple seconds? large ones stay on just fine

I would not recommend checking every 30 seconds, that will add server load.  I run it at 120 on my server to keep the load down. 

You have furnaces set to:

If there are things in a furnace, and it is set as protected, it will not toggle off or on.  I'd check if there is something inside the furnaces.  Please let me know.

I did test this configuration and the furnace content seemed to be the key to this behaviour.

Yeah, players were trying to smelt stuff in their furnaces, but it would just turn off after a couple seconds. Should I just set the furnace to ignore? and turn protection off?

Protection should block any changes to a running furnace,  I will test running a furnace.  That would be a bug!

I had 4 furnaces, 2 smelting, 1 off but with stuff in it, one empty and off.

All the furnaces with items in them did not change state.  The off and empty furnace turned on. 

When dawn came the empty furnace turned off, the smelting ones kept smelting and the off one with stuff in it stayed off.  So it worked as expected in my testing.

I suspect you have some other plugin affecting furnaces resulting in this behaviour.  Can you either DM me in discord your list of plugins or share it here so I can help you track down what is going on please?

I don't think it is LightsOn, but is most likely interaction with another plugin leading to this behaviour.

Just saw in chat logs that someone fixed it by putting their furnace(small) outside

Did some more testing. This problem only occurs if players redeem a base that has a furnace in it (copypaste) BUT if i place the furnace on the first floor, it would work fine. Just not the second floor for some reason. I'll figure this out eventually, I hope. Thanks for the help @Mals!

So a second floor copy and pasted small furnace?  I will test that case.  Any other details so I can reproduce this?

This plugin might be altering the furnaces too, but it would be odd that it alters smelting etc.

Pasted in 2 story building made with ubertools, worked fine. left base had stuff in it.  next one was already smelting.  middle one was smelting, thrist one was empty, came on, turned off, added stuff, smelting fine.  last on on right was off, came on.  It has to be some other plugin interacting or the "furnace" is not a furnace.  can you destroy one and see what rcon shows?  It should be assets/prefabs/deployable/furnace/furnace.prefab

Yes, that's the prefab. I've tried turning off furnace splitter to no avail. This is the new copypaste file where I moved the furnace to the first floor, but once you place it on the second floor it'll turn off in a couple seconds. It's probably one of the plugins interfering, but I'm not going to go through all of them since this base is the only one that has issues with furnaces on second floor.

I did not see a second floor furnace. The first floor works fine, fireplace cooks fine on the second floor but turned off at 10 am, so I am working on fixing that.  It was full due to burnt bear meat.  It did work fine once I left a slot for that (did not have unburnable meat loaded).

So I am not finding any coding issues so far. 😞

damn, i used servertool from @LosGranada and it only reads for updates from umod 😞 , ok than i have to wait till @LosGranada can set up this ressource page to his Tool.

I've identified that the Fog Machine and Strobe-lights are now IO entities. The Snow Machine which is based on the Fog Machine is oddly lacking I/O.  Watch for that in December.  I am working on a fix.

Having some issues with the Snow Machine, I hope to have those all resolved for tomorrow night. Attached is a debug version that fixes the Fog Machine and Strobe Light.

The plugin does not apply any logic per player, as that would add significant overhead to the parsing and processing of entities. There are plugins that are per player that are a better fit, but with arguably some performance overhead. It can be challenging on electrical components to pick which to support on a server, as it can limit what players can do with circuits. I tend to limit it to water pumps, water purifiers, smart alarms, heaters, lights, telephones, elevators and vehicle lifts. Things that usually folks will want on. I added more options as some servers want electricity to be super simple, but that does come at the cost of circuit control.

Is there a command for players to turn off the plugin function for only their own lights if they don't want them to work automatically?
