Message added by Magic Services,

Once you upload the plugin to the Thread there is nothing you need to do. It is automatically sent to the servers that need the update!

uMod.org plugins can now be updated with just a press of a button!

How does this bot know where you have an addon from? Lets take convoy for example, I may have it from here or from LoneDesign... how does this bot know where to send me to get the update? Im want to try this and move from RustAdmin but RA allows me to tell it where to check for certain addons so that when theres an update to it that the hotlink takes me right to the site I have the addon from

I will add to what T-Rex said, it's certainly a good bot, but it's pulling multiple different plugins from different websites. For example, I use Fuel Gauge on my servers (from uMod), and this is taking me to one on myvector which I do not own.

Thank you for the discussions, @Wizz @Gay Sparkly T-Rex

For this feature, you would have to configure the purchase site for each plugin, we use the Server Armour API to check if a plugin is updated, but we cannot easily check where you purchased it from.

No guarantees, but would you like configured site links as a feature? We can discuss it with the team, or any better alternative ideas you may have.

i would have to agree. this is a good idea. or somehow crosscheck author name or something if possible.

I mean if you can check specific sit4s why not just have something like
"website name"
 "AddonName",
 "AddonName"

This way we could tell the bot what site to check for specific addons

Does this use the same shitty APIs that other update checker plugins use? Those are basically useless to me because they don't show updates to plugins because the APIs don't reflect the updates properly. Before I spend money on this I wanted to know if the method was any better?

This uses the Server Armour API which is the same as the plugin, the Server Armour API has only had one issue recently which we have came across, and it was caused by the Codefling API not reporting properly
