To be honest, WeaponTrap_Safe did not affect this. In addition, I discovered that another plugin that also affects CanBeTargeted causes this bug. I wrote to the Carbon developers; I believe the issue is on the framework side.
Yes, I just created a clean Carbon server and installed BotReSpawn on it. I was standing by my guntrap and it started shooting. When I removed BotReSpawn, the shooting stopped.

When this option is enabled in any active profile, the plugin subscribes to CanBeTargeted and returns false for NPCs.
On my Carbon/Rust build this breaks vanilla GunTrap behavior: traps start ignoring normal auth logic (targeting players, sometimes even blocking placement).
