WelcomePlus 1.1.7

I'm testing this plugin on my server.  This is the only mod posted on codefling by this dev so far as I can see.

I think an improvement, since this is designed to welcome my players in, is to match up country codes with language files as some others do.  We are in the US, but we also have Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese and on occasion, french players. 

Will do a review in the future, but want to give this thing a fair shake first.

Also, I can't use this plugin now because /playtime is used by another plugin that I have been running for over six years now.

Thanks so much for taking the time to try out WelcomePlus - I really appreciate you giving it a fair shake, especially with it being my first release on Codefling.

The feedback about localisation is excellent. Supporting multiple languages based on a player’s country code is now firmly on my roadmap for this plugin, perhaps as early as v1.1.6?
I’ll be looking at integrating automatic language detection (where possible) or config-driven preferences in an upcoming version. That way, servers with international communities like yours can provide a more personal experience for every player.

Regarding the /playtime conflict: totally understandable. I’ll be introducing full command alias configuration in the next release, so you’ll be able to remap or disable any default commands to avoid conflicts with existing tools like Playtime Tracker. For now, you can still use /pt or the GUI as a workaround, but proper alias control is on the way!

If there are any other tools or features you’d love to see integrated, I’m all ears.

I'm happy to announce to you the release of v1.1.6!
Though I found it tricky to incorporate a match up of country codes with language files as I am a new developer, I managed to find my own temporary inclusion of some of your suggested features.

first I'd like to say it's a really lightweight plugin and I really like the simplicity of it but I have a question, because I have more groups than you've made, could you implement something that I could make a custom message for more groups? 
As you have "admin", Id like to create a separate message for Mod. 

Let me know if something could be done about that,

Thank you very much for your kind words and I'm really glad you're enjoying the lightweight and simple feel of WelcomePlus!

You're absolutely right: the current system supports a fixed set of roles (default, vip, admin, owner), but it's a great idea to expand that to support custom-defined groups like mod, staff, or anything you need.

I’ll be adding this as a feature in an upcoming version (likely v1.1.7):

You’ll be able to define as many custom rank keys as you want in the config.

You can map them to Oxide permissions, just like current ranks.

Each can have its own dedicated welcome message pool in the language file.

This will make the plugin way more flexible for communities with more complex staff or VIP structures. Thanks for the suggestion and feel free to throw any more ideas my way!

Hi Juicy,

I'm pleased to let you know that custom rank support has been implemented in the latest version. You can now define as many custom rank groups as you need (Mod, Staff, or anything else) directly in the config file, and each can have its own dedicated welcome messages.

The system supports:

• Fully customisable rank permissions in the config
• Automatic permission registration for custom ranks
• Separate welcome messages file for easy editing
• Priority system based on config order

You should now be able to create your Mod group with custom messages exactly as you need. I hope this gives you the flexibility you were looking for!
