First off entired has nothing to do with it im mentioning that there has been no response so before you get your panties in a bunch like a Karen reread it if you have the ability to read

you basically called a guy a bad dev for not responding to your demands on a free plug in.  It functions exactly as advertised. When he gets to it, he gets to it. Maybe rethink which one of us is the "karen". One is screaming to be listened to, tearing down them as a dev, and demanding to be answered now. 

Does this plug in advertise that it works for brick? Is it not functioning as currently advertised?  If you put in a support request was it ignored?

Has responded to anyone since the 3rd? No it takes 10 seconds to respond, summer or not everyone has a day/night off from work no one works 24/7.  You just want to complain about somoene else opinion

so I have downloaded this plugin and installed on my server. however when I go to set the permission I get this permission doesn't exist. anyone had this issue?

I think we need to hold people accountable free or not or else the quality will go down the drain. He does have a point in that devs should be able to respond but we also need to understand that real life always comes first. At the same token, I'm sure the dev has seen all the messages unless he went AWOL which means a simple honest response shouldnt be too hard. In times where a dev goes awol on a very popular plug in, i think it is only appropriate that someone can take over the plug in who is willing to do the update. I'm sure, like someone here said, the code needs a total rewrite which is probably why we are not getting a response. I have no problem with the dev saying, "i dont want to rewrite the code just to add brick and another skin on top of it" since it is their free plug in and they can decide what to and what not to add which you have mentioned 👍

Let's not argue and fight guys lol. Not worth the energy.

The lack of update is causing a bigger issue. The fact that the brick is not on the Building Skins list is making the Building Skins system prevent a player who has the Brick DLC from using it. So, if a player uses the /bskin command in a wipe and acquires the DLC in the same wipe, since it's not available in /bskin, the system won't recognize it as a valid skin. This will result in the player being unable to use the brick skin. Therefore, it seems that the solution will be to remove this plugin until something happens.

This plugin doesn't prevent anyone from using Brick ... that is entirely false.  I have plenty of players with the purchased skin and use it and ignore this plugin entirely. 

I sure hope something hasn't happened to our Dev.  You know, sometimes Life happens, sometime Death happens.  I hope you guys think that far ahead before you slam someone for not responding.  I sure hope that's NOT THE CASE, but seriously, think before you speak. (this portion not intended toward V.O.I.D., but to the angry ones in the thread.

The player just needs disable the Adobe skin if they have the brick dlc

I asked multiple times to the player in question if he had deactivated it, and he said yes. He was probably doing something wrong, so faced with his feedback, I remembered that this used to happen during the Adobe skin release. I thought it might be happening again due to the brick not being active. My mistake.

Hello, you need to stop harassing people.

The developer has no obligation to update his plugin because he makes it available free of charge.

Then he does what he wants!!!! He doesn't want to answer, so he doesn't answer.

It is useless to blame him and pollute the discussion.

Free plugin = No obligation to update it and respond to comments.

Please respect developers, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SHARE FREE PLUGINS. THEY HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO UPDATE OR RESPOND TO COMMENTS.

As long as the conversation remains respectful all opinions and comments are valid, and helpful.

There is an expectation that submitted content will be supported and maintained however we do understand that people's
circumstances can change and that's not always going to be possible.
We're also aware that content creators may not always be in a position to let us know they'll be absent for X days, or weeks, or whatever.

The discussion around this has made it clear that this is a popular enough plugin and that a lot of people would like to see it working so
my understanding is that it will be fixed/maintained, for now, by a willing developer.

Hopefully the original author, Marat, will be willing and able to return at some point. 👍

Working pretty good so far, the only thing I have noticed is when you go back into the UI it reverts back to the default skins, which might confuse some people.

First of all, thank you for your update

When opening Automatical Activate Skin When Player Connects, there will be the following errors

Failed to call hook 'OnServerInitialized' on plugin 'BuildingSkins v1.1.2' (ArgumentException: Object of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List`1[System.UInt64]' cannot be converted to type 'System.UInt64'.)

Thanks for the update. Issue we are noticing is this plugin is overriding the hammer wheel skin selection for players that already own the skin DLCs directly. For example, I own the Brick skin directly from facepunch. When I select to use Brick skin on my hammer wheel, it will only apply the basic stone skin instead. I am having to set the skin selection in /bskin first in order for it to work on the hammer wheel

Can you update this so that players do not have to pick the skin on /bskin if they own the DLC? It is confusing quite a few players who were not relying on the /bskin menu

I deleted the BuildingSkins.json from the config file (like it says) and then uploaded the BuildingSkins.cs file to the plugins folder but /bskin gives "unknown command". And even though I saw that my RCON showed unloaded BuildingSkins 1.1.1 and loaded BS 1.1.2 it doesn't work and there is no config file created.

Sorry wrong place.

Had issues, deleted all files and reloaded and works.  (Language, Data, Config and CS folders

Unload the plugin , delete data file then reload it.
