 News: Better Loot V4 Compatible

This package includes a single, carefully balanced BetterLoot loot table, suitable for most server types.
Please note that we do not provide customization or individual support for modifying the loot table content after purchase.

BetterLoot provides a more stable and predictable loot system compared to AlphaLoot. It doesn’t use percentage-based drop chances, making it simpler but less dynamic.
If you’re looking for a more advanced, competitive system, check out our AlphaLoot configs on our profile.

No test server is available for this package.

As Rust is a constantly evolving game, item previews in images may not always reflect the most current loot content.

If you have specific questions about the loot content, feel free to contact us via Discord.

Hi,

I've been trying to adjust the rarity of specific items in the BetterLoot loot tables, especially for things like components and electricals, but I'm a bit confused about how the rarity override works.

From what I understand, the "Rarity": { "Override": { ... } } section only accepts specific item IDs, not general categories like "component" or "electrical". Is that correct?

If so, could you please clarify how to properly set the rarity percentages or weights for individual items? For example, how can I increase the chance of components appearing in loot boxes without affecting other items?

Also, is there a complete and updated list of all item IDs that we can use for these overrides?

I tried setting category names in the rarity override, but it didn't seem to work, so I'd appreciate any guidance or examples.

Thank you for your help!

I want to make sure my betterloot.json file is correctly set up for item rarity overrides. Is this the right way to add the "Rarity" section at the end of the config?

Should I add this just before the final closing brace } of the JSON file and make sure there is a comma before "Rarity" if needed?

Thanks for your help!

In groupLoot.json I also set:

In betterloot.json I also set:

Are these settings correct?
