Download Main, Staging, or Beta
The differences between a file’s Main, Staging, and Beta downloads.
What to do
- Open the file’s download options and check which branches the author has made available.
- Use Main for the current public release. Review the version and changelog before selecting Staging or Beta.
- Read and accept the Beta warning if you choose a Beta download.
- Keep the branch and version name when reporting a problem to the author.
Good to know
Test branches may contain bugs. Download permissions and purchase requirements still apply. A file branch named Staging or Beta is an author’s uploaded version; Main and Staging compiler results describe test environments and should not be treated as the same thing.
