Would like to see if anyone can make RUST in game chat translator , we have players from all over the world.
We where using Mr Blues translator but after last two updates, it is no longer working,
If not over priced I am more than willing to pay for this service
 Thanks in advance

Hi, I can look at restoring the existing translator before proposing a replacement. If this is a single Rust/Oxide/Carbon compatibility issue, I can offer a USD 30 fixed repair milestone with one scoped revision, after reviewing the version and error details. Translation-provider usage fees, a new paid API subscription and unrelated features would be separate and agreed in advance. Could you share the exact translator version, your Rust server/framework version, and the relevant console error with keys, tokens and player information removed? Also, does it fail to compile/load, or does it load but stop translating? Once the cause and permitted source access are clear, we can agree the fix and a test-server acceptance case before any paid work starts.

So we have been using MR Blues chat translate found on Umod,
But seems unless we get an Google translate API key it will not work, an I do not give Google my credit card info at all,
So need something more on the lines of Gaminik which uses no API key .
an being I do not know you an I do not see any other post or projects here, any payment would have to be threw Codefling .

give me 24 hours. I'm seeing how self contained I can make this without having to rely on outside sources.

As long as you can make one that does not use an API key like Gaminik is, that would be great, I guess things changed an now you have to have a google translate API key an I will not give google any of my credit card info,

Yeah I have some ideas on bypassing this. I'm looking into this now.

Thanks for clarifying, SVR-Gaming. I understand the Codefling-only payment requirement and will not ask you to pay off-platform. The important requirement is now translation without a Google billing account, rather than just repairing the old plugin. My earlier USD 30 offer covered a single compatibility repair; I have not priced or promised a replacement yet.

One option worth checking is an offline translation service running on your own server, with the Rust plugin calling it locally. That avoids a Google API subscription, but needs permission to run the service, sufficient server resources and a test of the languages and response time. Would your hosting provider allow that, is the server Windows or Linux, and which language pairs matter most? If the host only permits plugin files, please say so, because that changes what is practical.

I would want a working test-server demonstration and an agreed scope before proposing any payment.

After checking Codefling's current paid-submission requirements, I cannot take this on through the platform with my development workflow. Please do not wait for a build from me; I am withdrawing my offer. I will not ask you to move payment elsewhere. Sorry for the extra back-and-forth, and I hope you get a suitable solution here.
