While it's pretty uncommon for a file to be outright abandoned or discontinued, it can happen and when it does it really doesn't inspire much confidence when making purchases. Because of this we've always issued refunds where we could on a case-by-case basis, but that was never a guarantee, until now!

From now on, any and all purchases made on Codefling comes with a free 6 month warranty that ensures you'll have a working file, or a full refund. If the file is out of SLA the cost will be covered by Codefling, and not the file's author. We hope this gives you more peace of mind when purchasing awesome new plugins and maps for your server!

This new warranty has also been automatically applied to all purchases made within the last 6 months as well, so all of your previous purchases are already covered. Does this only cover abandoned or discontinued? What about when we buy a plugin and install it and it just doesn't work or key features don't work?

I realize that there are support tickets for resolving these types of issues, but are we covered at all if it doesn't do what the description says it does?

if any functions in the plugin do not work for you, then you can always write to the developer, who will tell you what the problem is: in the plugin or you did something wrong. because not always "a function that does not work" is the fault of the plugin or the developer. Often, even the most experienced administrator may overlook the smallest details, after which the plugin is not initialized.

Thank you so much. Awesome. This will make the buyer have confidence in their purchase and the mapper or programmer can't just keep collecting dollars for a broken purchase. With out the servers their is no rust. Quality control.

Question, if a plugin or map is abandon or is faulty and still not working is there a way to simply remove it so buyers are not buying a broken plugin or faulty map with players falling through.No one likes to fall through a map and than get kicked because now the owner has to resolve and find the players body. Not to mention it makes the server look bad.The process of trying to get a hold of a dev or mapper can be exhausting as there seems to be a game where your directed to their discord with no way to get to their discord because either no reply or address given. I totally understand the mappers and dev are busy with a life. But, the buyers are too. I am just glad I know how to map so I can fix stuff. I should not have to. Seems like a resonable time limit should be given for updates. With servers wiping every month some of us gear our servers or maps to a certain theme where we use the maps or plugins. This is what keeps the game alive. Just a thought.

We already do this by disabling purchases. This prevents users from purchasing and also delists it on the site unless you do a direct search. This ensures existing customers still have access to continue to use if they choose to. It's important to report files that you think is abandoned so we can take care of it.
