  1. Hi, did you save the map with another name? Do you have a plugin that removes NPCs that are not on navmesh? Or maybe you've selected a type of NPC that doesn't work inside the npc spawner prefab options

  2. Hi, I believe I replied on discord last month on your initial issue. About the screenshots: these NPCs don't look like the ones from the better npc config from the caldera map, so make sure you delete the previous .json files inside the BetterNpc > Custom folder before you add the ones from the caldera map zip file

    Hi, the json files inside the "Custom" folder need to be added in the server's "Custom" folder. You can find it in oxide > data > BetterNpc > Custom

    Hi, I just increased the ore spawn topologies in the v3.0.3 update. I also fixed the tower floating - looks like facepunch broke the "tower fortifications" prefab that was underneath as it is no longer usable.

  5. Hey, facepunch fixed the monument map markers.

    I don't have a guide, but oxide and the rustedit.dll extension are easy to install and don't require configuration. Just make sure the server is offline when you install them

  6. Hi, fixed everything except the bears not spawning - I see the bear prefab I used no longer works, I also just tested the new AI bear spawner that facepunch made for mappers and that doesn't work either, so I'll see if I can use betternpc to spawn them. The patch will be uploaded tommorow

    Hi, world file outdated is a common error, you just need to change the map name to something unique that you and the server haven't downloaded before.
    Also, make sure the download link you added into the server is a direct one. Don't use dropbox as it no longer works properly, I recommend mapstr.gg

    Hi, I'm guessing you tried to load the map on main rust. The jungle update is currently on the staging branch and it will be released on main later today

    Hi, I am not sure which zipline you're referring to. About the blue keycard puzzle - if you're talking about the one on the decommissioned cargoship, the card reader should be on by default, without the need of a fuse. If it isn't, you probably don't have oxide and the rustedit.dll extension installed on your server

    Hey, I'll provide a config for better npc later today. Also, I recently started working on updating the inmate camps so that tunnel dwellers will spawn without requiring a plugin

    Hi, dropbox isn't working properly for custom maps anymore, I recommend using mapstr.gg

    Also, some hosts who are not experienced with rust have the option to change the map type from procedural to custom and it breaks the server, so if the above doesn't work, try leaving that setting in the server panel set on procedural map and just set the levelurl to the map download link

    As you may know, facepunch recently released the world 2.0 update which messed with rivers, rock formations, and cliffs. They also deleted the old cliffs in the December update and there's a lot of pressure put on all of us mappers to update all our custom maps in a short period of time, which eventually could lead to a few bugs slipping through our fingers.

  15. If you want someone to blame, blame facepunch. This is the second time they do this. They could've copy-pasted the textures of the new cliffs and rocks onto the new ones, or even change their color to match the new ones and keep them in the game files. But they chose to screw all mappers by deciding to remove them from the game files over "memory space". Yet they contradict themselves by keeping lots of useless duplicated prefabs in the game files (some have been there for years)

  16. I can't update all of my old maps as I hand-placed all rocks and cliffs on most of them, so to do it again would take too many hours. I'll rather spend my time designing new and better stuff as I got more experienced over the years and can do more

    There's a bug with the penitentiary as well, you can't climb up the ladder and through the hatch on the roof, there prefab under the helipad is blocking it., I ended up just deleting this to fix it
