Not instant craft

Closed 2022.9.24.1102

Seems like it doesn't instant craft it counts down from static then instantly crafts. For example a medical syringe starts a 9 seconds each at a tier 2 workbench then crafts after 1 second instead of 9. If I use instant craft the oxide plugin it is literally instant. If I craft 10 syringes they all instantly appear.

I have set craft.instant 1  and confirmed it says true.

Any ideas?

You're are correct.. it's not "instant" in the sense that the item is not generated on-the-fly and added to your inventory.

The plugins makes use of the existing crafting queue, this is why you see the item appearing in the crafting queue and then being crafted after one sec.

There is a inherent pooling time to take the items out of the crafting queue (1 sec), I guess this could be adjusted to have a smaller delay.

The advantage of using the built-in crafting queue vs generating items on-the-fly is all about performance when protecting against user exploitation.

There is a free plugin that can accomplish this and more though with differing speeds. Instant Craft means instant to me like the Oxide plugin.

I just tried without the plugin and just instant craft 1 and it has the same effect without  this mod at all. Are you sure this does anything?

Old thread but same issue. It would be much better (and relevant to the name of the mod) to have quicker crafting than 1 second. It's what every server with instant craft expects.
