    When the plugin is enabled on my server it tends to lag it out a lot to the point where I cannot enable the plugin for even short periods of time

    This is a very light weight plugin. While I'm not certain that it is the plugin causing lag, the underlying issue is unrelated. If you have any more info please let me know otherwise I do not have much to go on.
